Patti received her Master degree from The Ohio State University College of Education and her occupational therapy degree from the Cleveland State University Department of Health Sciences. Additionally, Patti holds certification in auditory processing using The Listening Program with Bone Conduction from Advanced Brain Technologies and is certified and licensed through INPP in primitive reflex integration techniques; having studied in the UK under the direction of Sally Goddard at the Institute of Neurological Physiological Psychology (INPP). Patti is a certified vision therapist, member of The Optometric Extension Program as well as the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, the recipient of several honors and awards and has been a guest speaker for local, state, national and international conferences.

We are happy to welcome our guest, Dr. Alisa Nance on the show! She studied at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate work and NC Baptist Hospital at Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston Salem, NC for her doctorate. Her Internship and Residency training was at Memorial Hermann Hospital System in Houston, TX. She is also a Pharmacist and currently practices at Nance Family Medicine in Mooresville, NC.

She brings a unique perspective as a family physician and is on the show to share her personal journey of incurring and recovering from a mTBI (mild traumatic brain injury). She was handed a copy of Clark Elliott’s book and consequently sought treatment through the same route that he did.

Lindsey and Ryan interview Clark Elliott, PhD, about his book “The Ghost in My Brain”. It is a manuscript that chronicles his personal journey after suffering an mTBI (mild traumatic brain injury). The book includes detailing the symptoms he suffered, the prognosis he was given by many professionals and then a celebration of how he ultimately found help and was able to make a full recovery!
