Have you ever used the phrase “Make me Proud?” In this episode, we shed some light on how and why saying “Make me Proud” could be more hurtful than it is encouraging. How should we support our kids and show them we are always proud of them, it is not something they have to "earn" from us. Has anyone ever told you to make them proud? Share with us when someone has told you this and how it affected you as you walked out on “that stage” by emailing us at [email protected] or text 845.320.3023. About the Dynasty of Dads Podcast: We are excited to bring to you a fun, down-to-earth podcast about the adventures, and challenges, of being a dad. There are two stereotypes of dads; the cold, emotionless, disciplinarian, and the other extreme is what I like to call the “sitcom dad,” silly, incompetent parent that can’t be trusted with important household responsibilities. Well, the goal of this podcast is to redefine the modern dad. Let’s get one thing clear, we do not claim to be an expert…we want the Dynasty of Dad’s podcast to be an inspiration to parents to be the best moms and dads we can be. We are honored to call ourselves dads, help us share that positive energy and excitement with others. Hosted by dads, @Bearded_Brian and @ZacktheGirlDad.

Are you really ready to start trying for baby number two? How do you know you’re ready? What are you prepared for this time that you weren't ready the first time? Going from one child to two kids is a big step. Zack the Girl Dad has a few months under his belt with having two girls and Bearded Brian is about to ask some tough questions.
Let’s face it, no one is ever fully prepared. Since every child is different, you’ll never know what you truly need until they are here. That's why Bearded_Brian and ZacktheGirlDad are on their mission to help parents be the best that they can be which includes being as prepared as possible for that second bundle of joy.
Share with us any concerns you have or what you’ve learned from the first kid that prepared you for the second child by emailing us at [email protected]. Don’t forget, Let’s be better dads together!
Feeling out of sorts? Dads, we know the feeling. Caring for your mental health is vital. As a parent, it is hard finding time for ourselves. We have limited time and energy — resources that have only shrunk since the pandemic started. It is important to know, we all have our own forms of struggles. One of the toughest struggles people face is with their own Mental Health.
May is Mental Health Awareness month so Bearded_Brian and ZacktheGirlDad want to help bring that awareness to the Dynasty of Dads Community. Bearded_Brian and ZacktheGirlDad want everyone who struggles with any form of Mental Health to know they are not alone. People can experience these struggles at any point of their lifetime.
Bearded_Brian and ZacktheGirlDad will discuss what they’ve gone through along with what they know others have gone through. Share with us anything you’re going through and/or what you do to help others you know are going through something by emailing us at [email protected]. Don’t forget, Let’s be better dads together!
Let’s be honest…doing chores or trying to get your kids to clean is the pits! If you find yourself at your wits' end with cleaning up mess after mess after mess with your kids, try one of these fun games to make cleaning up less of a chore. On this Dynasty of Dads podcast episode, we want to discuss ways to get our kids (and us parents) more involved, and have fun while doing so. Giving kids household chores is a great way to teach them responsibility while also keeping your home clean and organized. The only problem is that it can be tough to motivate the children to perform their chores on a regular basis. If you are struggling to convince your kids to do their assignments, then you need to make it fun and exciting for them.
Whether you use Chore Competition Charts, make it a race, sing or dance while doing so, any strategy is helpful to make household responsibilities more fun. Maintaining a clean house is often quite difficult when you have children, but that does not have to be the case. Just get the kids interested in the chores by turning them into games. If they are having fun, then they will not even realize they are cleaning and organizing the house.
Hot or Not, April recap. It’s May, and that means it’s time to recap what is super popular, and what is not so much, in our families. Kids are always changing their favorite things. What are the trending things we are doing with our kids that maybe you should be too? We want to provide advice on what is hot or not for our family time, but also want this series to serve as a journal on how our children’s interests evolve over the years.
On today’s episode, Bearded_Brian and ZacktheGirlDad chat about what are the trending fad in their house with their kids and, more importantly, their dads. What has been the most popular kids toy? Favorite TV show this month? How about dad’s favorite way to unwind? Share with us what’s trending in your house this month by emailing us at [email protected]. Don’t forget, Let’s be better dads together!
Some men have this self-generated pressure to be a better provider to their family. Why do men do this? In many ways this is cultivated in us as boys very early on. We have seen our fathers take on this role, or constantly see it on TV or in movies. One of the hardest things to balance as a parent is spending as much time as you can with your kids, while spending as much time as you need to provide for them financially. Sometimes personal pressures don't come from anyone else but ourselves. However, it does not mean those pressures are any less difficult to manage.
My guest tonight says when you’ve been accustomed to accepting an identity that has been handed to you; you become stuck. Let’s tear out your tags, overcome what’s holding you back, live emboldened within yourself, and embolden others along the way. Bee is the host of the Tear Out The Tags podcast, where you learn to remove the labels that are holding you back. Your life is increasingly defined by simple words that are meant to categorize you. These words are turned into hashtags, making you feel stuck with a limited definition of what you can be in this world. Tags, though helpful online, are ineffective at fully describing how big and extraordinary you are.
How do you know what’s the best daycare for your child? What do you look for in childcare? Choosing a school or daycare is one of the hardest and most stressful decisions parents need to make. Bearded_Brian and ZackTheGirlDad discuss what they experienced, as well as how they knew they made the right decision on which daycare worked best for them.
Because babies and young toddlers need lots of attention, and leaving them in someone else’s care is scary. In this episode, we will discuss the cost of daycare, license and accreditation considerations, student-to-teacher ratio, class size, and more. Share with us your experiences and how you decided on your daycare by emailing us at [email protected]. Don’t forget, Let’s be better dads together!
