I conducted a 2-Day Webinar in 2020 called Kinder Champs anticipating this crisis back then, never believing it would see us into 2022. Kinders need help – Parents you need help with your kids. Many parents reach out to me to ask how they can tell if their child has dyslexia. There are lists of symptoms and I want you to take of picture of what I show you in this video. I read some of them for those tuning into the podcast, but seeing the video is really helpful.

I also share the classroom accommodations your school is most likely to offer your child in lieu of giving them the help they really need. Dyslexic children really DO need a multisensory reading intervention, following an Orton Gillingham model. I’ve had over 200 hours of Orton Gillingham practicum and my reading programs are what you or your school needs. Parents can be trained to work with your children, but if you need to take this to your child’s teacher, I can train teachers too. Let’s talk! I’m here for you!

Teaching children the syllable types associated with animal names really hits home! They are fun to learn and the kids remember the vowel teams when they learn them with animal names. Some that I have already taught in previous videos are Rabbit, Monster Rabbit, Camel, Tiger. And now LION! There are more that I’ll get into later if folks enjoy this. Let me know!

BRCA Genetic Mutation Information – Ovarian Cancer Action

When do you call it a Miracle? Where has the money we spend on cancer research gone?

I didn’t see any stories on Ovarian Cancer and the BRCA gene that I was looking for, so I am giving you my story. I believe it will help millions. It will if you share it!

Now I am among the cancer survivors, people I have been so proud of. People I refer to are those who suffered in their journey to victory. I am not suffering. I am strong in the Lord and so grateful I have faith in a God who is loving and cares for me. My sister and cousin, mom and grandma did too, but their stories were of pain and suffering.

I had a miracle, discovering ovarian cancer with a routine ultrasound and having a successful surgery that got it all out! I call this a miracle, especially when my sister, cousin, mom, and grandma all died of ovarian cancer because they caught it too late.

This is a video that shares my journey with the BRCA gene. BRACA is a mutant cancer gene that sits dormant until cancer comes alive. It is caught early with ultrasounds and MRIs. I want to share with people who know of others with ovarian cancer. I want to share my next step – Chemo to kill any microscopic killer cells lurking to take me out. I have a huge call on my life and so do you. Let’s not give in to cancer. Get checked early. Dr. Marianne Cintron is a Doctor of Education in Leadership and Administration, speaker, and author. She has a Master of Education in General Education and in Special Education complementing her two California Teaching Credentials. She is a Dyslexia Specialist, President of Step By Step Dyslexia Solutions, and an International Teacher Trainer. She tutors students with Dyslexia and completed over 200 hours of Practicum work to receive Orton Gillingham Associate Level Certification. 

She has twenty-three years of experience in Education, ten years as a Classroom Teacher. She is a three-year board member of the International Dyslexia Association Tri-County Branch, the Vice President of Christian Business Partners in Upland, and a member of the Global Society of Female Entrepreneurs. She received an award for being a “Social Impact Award Finalist.” She is also nominated for the “Lifetime Legacy Award” for the Connected Women of Influence.  Dr. Cintron is a California native, has been married to Will for 32 years, and they have three adult children.

This is an interview with Dale Ann Springer, a dyslexic woman in her seventies. She tells of her challenges learning to read as well as how she taught science and math! It’s amazing to see that dyslexic people can overcome reading challenges. She overcame her reading challenges while entering fourth grade. This is critical because research says children who don’t achieve grade-level reading by 4th grade are at risk of dropping out of school – then  2/3 of those kids end up in prison or on welfare! I got sad witnessing kids fail in school and seeing homes turn into battlefields over the most empowering thing like reading - because a child is dyslexic and struggles with reading.

I know many dyslexic people are gifted. I believe if the environment will embrace reading, it opens up the world of opportunity and brings peace to the household.

I developed a music app and two – Orton Gillingham-based reading programs, to help your dyslexic child read. Kids are making 1-3 year gains in only 30-40 hours of tutoring.

Education is Dr. Cintron’s third career, spring boarded from subbing in her children’s preschool to being a substitute teacher in a mental health hospital. She never dreamed of earning 5 degrees with a call to expose that “Dyslexia is a Trait of Genius!”  She’s been an educator for over 22 years and a classroom teacher for 10. She earned a Doctorate Degree and two Masters Degrees.
