In this episode Eric interviews Kathy Becker-Blease from Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR. Kathy serves as the Director for the School of Psychological Science; we discussed mentoring and how graduate faculty value teaching skills. She tells her story of persistence in applying for a job at Oregon State; Kathy's path to education was not easy, as she had to overcome family obstacles. We talked about luck, spousal accommodations, boot camp, and Kathy's graduate training in childhood trauma.
