In this episode Garth interviewed Jenel Cavazos from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. Jenel is a tenured associate professor serving as the introductory psychology coordinator at this august R1 institution. Each semester, her two sections of 500 students each complete writing assignments, application assignments, and tests because of the organized, systematic help of a cadre of graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants (part of the same mentoring system Jenel benefitted from when she was an UO undergraduate). She discusses her pedagogical choices for the course, including testing software and testing parameters, equity, and shares some details about her childhood.
