In this episode Eric interviews Jason Young from Hunter College in New York, NY. Jason patiently describes that Hunter is part of the City University of New York (CUNY) system, a senior college with 23,000 enrolled students on Manhattan's upper east side. He shares his joy for teaching in-person classes, and his excitement for social psychology is evident. As an undergraduate, Jason takes a semester away (from the University of Maryland as a political science major) and goes to Indiana University, adds the psychology major there, and then completes his undergraduate education at Indiana. He discusses the disruptions of moving, of adding a major, and he shares his experiences attending graduate school at the University of Minnesota.
