A recent retrospective study on a rare condition - catastrophic antiphospholipid syndrome - caught my eye in the Journal of Rheumatology this week.  I thought it would be a good opportunity to talk about unmeasured confounding and introduce a rare condition that new fellows need to know about.  Find the paper itself here.
