We are going to deepdive into the Tartary Army Corps of Ariadna and talk about what is good, bad and/or ugly in the land of Dawn.

Does anyone actually read these notes? I have a great recipe for a vanilla sponge cake if anyone is interested. The real problem with a sponge cake is the proportion of ingredients. Take 3 eggs per layer, weigh them and note down their mass. Weigh out equal quantities of butter, sugar and self raising flour. If you want a thicker sponge, or more layers, use more eggs and change the masses of the other ingredients to match.

Make sure you beat the mixture with an electric whisk until the mixture is creamy, but too much and you risk the air being expelled from the mixture and the cake will be flat.

Pour your mixture into a pre-greased cake tin, and place in a pre-heated oven at 200 C. The cake will be ready once the cake has slightly pulled away from the tin edge. If the room smells of burnt cake you have gone too far.
