  • Sitting Bull - HONOR - S3 E7

Sitting Bull was a leader of the Sioux Nation (from Hunkpapa Tribe) who directed the efforts of the Souix warriors including those led by Crazy Horse who managed to win the battle of Little Bighorn to defeat General George Custer on June 25, 1876.  Sitting Bull was a steady and deliberate leader who spoke out not only for his people, the Souix, but for all Native Americans regarding their treatment by the US Government and especially the US Army.  Sitting Bull eventually went to Canada for exile and refuge from the unrelenting US Army (following the defeat of Custer and the 7th Cavalry), but returned to the US once his people faced starvation.  Sitting Bull and his people were very disappointed that the US had destroyed the buffalo herds which were their source of food, clothing, and shelter.  On surrending to the US Army, Sitting Bull spent years on the reservation and even went around with Buffalo Bill Cody to participate in the very popular Wild West Show.  During the Wild West Show, Sitting Bull reached many Americans gaining their support.  The US Government decided to disallow Sitting Bull to continure the Wild West Show with Buffalo Bill and sent him back to the Souix Reservation.  Sitting Bull remained a man of HONOR throughout his life as a leader of his people (in contrast to the way the US Government treated him and the rest of the Native Americans). As a warrior for the Souix Nation, Sitting Bull was an Eagle.  For his tireless work defending the rights of all Native Americans, he is considered a Hoss indeed!  The Eagle Hoss & Hound podcast is a platform for respect. • Crazy Horse - STRENGTH - S3 E6

Crazy Horse was a leader of the Oglala Sioux who with extreme bravery managed to win the battle of Little Bighorn to defeat General George Custer on June 25, 1876.  Crazy Horse was certainly a man of service and can be recognized as an Eagle. One of Crazy Horse's key attributes was his STRENGTH which showed up in his modesty and humility.  He did not take credit for his victories or boast about his success.  Instead, he allowed the team around him to benefit, prefering to remain quiet and reserved.  Though he was modest socially he was extremely courageous in battle and when defending his people.  The Eagle Hoss & Hound podcast is a platform for respect. • John Marshall - SACRIFICE - S3 E5

John Marshall was the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court from 1801 till 1835.  He established the Judicial Branch of the U.S. Government to bring checks and balances for the Legislative and Executive branches.  He employed his outstanding emotional intelligence and leadership to defend the Constitution which guarantees that "We The People" have the sovereign power to govern (as opposed to how Jefferson, Burr, Henry, and others of the Democratic party wanted "We the States" instead, being fixated on the false pretense of "States Rights" so they could own slaves).  Due to his Sacrifice during 34 years of running the Supreme Court staying in a boarding house with the other justices (while his family remained hours away in Richmond, VA) he oversaw 1200 cases to protect the rights and freedoms of individuals, he is considered a Hoss indeed! • John Adams - A Message to Garcia - SERVICE

John Adams, an American Founding Father from Massachusetts who signed the Declaration of Independence, became the 2nd President of the United States (after having been the first Vice President under George Washington).  He employed his no-nonsense style to stoke the debates to press for independence and the Constitution which guarantees that "We The People" have the sovereign power to govern (as opposed to how Jefferson, Burr, Henry, and others of the Democratic party wanted "We the States" instead, being fixated on the false pretense of "States Rights" so they could own slaves).  Adams' efforts were key to winning the Revolutionary War for American Independence.  Adams was not a popular statesman like Washington or Jefferson, but was a common, hard-working American who let nothing stop him from accomplishing what needed to be done to secure American freedom.  Adams brought forth the actions to effect our independence and allowed no excuses, just like "A Message to Garcia" written in 1899 by Elbert Hubbard. Due to his Service to America's concept of freedom for each individual citizen, he is considered a Hoss indeed! The Eagle Hoss & Hound podcast is a platform for respect. • Thomas Jefferson - RESPECT - S3 E3

Thomas Jefferson - Ole Wolf-by-the-Ear - authored the Declaration of Independence and served as the 3rd President of the United States.  Being a slaveholder, he was one of the founding members of today's Democratic Party.  He believed in "States Rights" as a guise for giving the privileged few slaveholders the ability to continue practicing chattel slavery ownership of other people.  For this reason, Jefferson is NOT A HOSS.  He did make the Louisiana Purchase though! • Patrick Henry - COMMITMENT - S3 E2

Patrick Henry was the Founding Father who famously said "Give me Liberty or Give me Death!" Besides that, he was a Virginian through and through.  He was the biggest opponent of the Constitution since he preferred 'States Rights' and a confederation.  He was a friend of slavery and Fear Politics (the beginning of the Democrat Party of today).  Since he wanted to preserve the so-called rights of his Virginians to own other people as slaves just because of their skin color, then Patrick Henry is NOT A HOSS.  The Eagle Hoss & Hound podcast is a platform for respect. • Benjamin Franklin - COURAGE - S3 E1

Benjamin Franklin set sail on his return voyage from France in 1785 after having spent 9 years serving the newly created United States of America as ambassador to gain French support. His efforts were key to winning the Revolutionary War for American Independence.  Franklin was a well-respected citizen, scientist, and statesman, who would become an activist for ending slavery in Pennsylvania (and the rest of the USA) through his work supporting the Pennsylvania Abolition Society.  His COURAGE to face down the forces of tyranny from Europe and the oppressors who promoted slavery in the USA make him a Hoss indeed! • William Lloyd Garrison - HONOR - S2 E26

William Lloyd Garrison was an exceptional editor and abolitionist during the early 19th century bringing forth a strong opposition to the institution of slavery in America.  His publication, The Liberator, used incredibly direct, inflammatory language to counter the aweful practices of and apathetic attitudes about slavery and the social conundrum that "peculiar institution" inflicted on the American way of life.  Together with his friend, Wendell Phillips, William Lloyd Garrison managed to heighten the awareness for the evils of the slave trade in all of its forms and the continued absurdity of treating freed persons as second-class citizens.  For his tireless efforts to face down the forces of hate and advance social integrity in America, he is considered a Hoss indeed!  The Eagle Hoss & Hound podcast is a platform for respect. • JFK Part 3 - STRENGTH - S2 E25

JFK, the Eagle and Hoss, set forth his expectation to America on June 11, 1963 that he would push civil rights legislation through Congress. Later that night, a cowardly sniper Democrat (nevermind his name!) murdered Medgar Evers in Mississippi. Evers was only one of thousands of African Americans and their supporters who were murdered by racists.  Many similar stories of brutality and absurdity are shared within the collection called Four Hundred Souls by Kendi and Blain. Four Hundred Souls provides a different perspective of American history which must be heard! The Eagle Hoss & Hound podcast is a platform for respect. • JFK - What Really Happened? - SACRIFICE - S2 E24

To understand what happened, you must look at LBJ. On June 11, 1963 JFK, as President, addressed the American people to set his expectations with regard to RACE IN AMERICA.  Many theories exist, by design, to throw off the real simple overthrow of the government by the same forces that have overthrown many US state and local governments since the US Civil War.  As a Democrat, it was incredibly odd that JFK stated, "Race has no place in American life or law!" which was (and is) opposite of the Democratic Party''s main object. This statement most likely cost him his life on November 22, 1963. JFK, the Eagle and Hoss, according to LBJ and the Democrat party, was appealing to too many Americans across the aisle and especially African Americans. What courage to SACRIFICE! What a HOSS!
