Earth-2.net Presents...

Greetings, friends! As Black & White Week continues! Let us look at Ed Wood, and witness the career of a director considered to be the worst of all time. Hear the sworn testimony of Will on why he doesn't think Wood's that bad. Pull the string!

Today, as Black & White Week continues, you'll receive two movie reviews! First, DW and Hannah team-up to cover Sabrina, starring Humphrey Bogart and Audrey Hepburn. Then Will and Kellen dive into Kevin Smith's breakout film, Clerks.

DW and Chris Johnson discuss Fritz Lang's 1931 classic M as Earth-2.net's Black & White Week continues on Earth-2.net: The Show!

But if you're thinkin' bout watchin' movies, it don't matter if they're black and white! Kick off Earth-2.net's Black & White Week here on Dread Media with a relatively all-encompassing view of all eras and styles of black and white horror cinema. First up, Chris joins Desmond to discuss the German Expressionist film The Hands of Orlac. Then Devil Dinosaur Jr. gives us a Stay Scary segment dedicated to the Universal horror film starring Lugosi and Karloff called The Black Cat. Then Damien joins Desmond to try and come to terms with the avant-garde film Begotten. There are some monochromatic tunes to help carry you through the episode as well: "White Hats, Black Hats" by Tomahawk, "Cut Off Your Hands" by Fit for Rivals, "Afterworld" by Tiger Army, "God Called in Sick Today" by AFI, and "Dreams in Monochrome" by Evadne. It's been a year since our last episode! But wait! It's not entirely our fault. Listen to the saga of two lost episodes, high school yearbook write-ups, CD singles, and an album that is full of dichotomies. Tease up your hair and pull on your legwarmers for the first and 80s-est release from current Oscar-winning film composer Trent Reznor in a little known band he used to have called Nine Inch Nails: Pretty Hate Machine. What does Halo mean? What does it sound like when a white guy raps over Depeche Mode? Does your kitchen have any Lionel Richie-branded paraphernalia? A Bobby Brown reference? What the hell is going on?! It's been a long time, and we needed to get a lot out of our systems. You'll enjoy it. Let us know what you thought: [email protected], and 410.871.8192.

Sometimes life conspires to keep us from sitting at a computer to talk about HG Wells' The War of the Worlds. To hold you over, here is the famous 1938 radio drama that sent a not-zero number of people screaming into the night. Think of it as homework.

It's Dark of the Moon / Most confusing film so far / Michael Bay should stop // James and Dubs are done / No more stupid Transformers / Longest show ever Please visit http://tranquiltirades.wikia.com.

In this messy show, Tom and Derrick looks at the rather epic levels of carnage in this year's summer blockbuster, and wonder if it's too much. Are we being desensitized to all this damage? Is it fair for Hollywood to call back to 9/11 for lazy affirmation of their plot developments? And why is Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim a more responsible film than Zack Snyder's Man of Steel? All this, plus the Superman sequel Tom really wants to see! You now you don't want to wander Tokyo carrying a red shoe, so get to clicking (and don't forget to Twitter us at @BITDShow)!

Dan and Mike debut a new, yet familiar segment: Earth-2-in-1! In this, the first installment, the guys look at Marvel Feature #11 and The Brave and the Bold #108. Join them as they dive into the madness of Bob Haney.

It's a punk-cult movie week here at Dread Media! So fuck the man and listen to Desmond and Darryll drunkenly stumble through a review of the classic Alex Cox cult film Repo Man. Then Devil Dinosaur Jr. gives us a straightedge look at Class of 1984. There's punk tunes to be had as well, jerk! But I'm not going to tell you what they are because that's so mainstream... oh, you expected me to say that? Fuck you, then! "Let's Go Do Some Crimes" by XXX Smut, "Let's Have a War" by Fear, "Potential Suicide" by Black Market Baby, and "When the Shit Hits the Fan" by Circle Jerks. Up yours!
