Earth-2.net Presents...

Kellen Scrivens and Will Ackerman begin their look at Shinichi "Nabeshin" Watanabe's wacky musical comedy, Nerima Daikon Brothers, by diving into the first four episodes: "Please Touch My Nerima Daikon," "Sa Rang Hey Yo with My Balls," "My Shot Will Crash into Your Backside," and "My Gadget (Detective) is Huge, Huh?" It must be stated that these are episode titles, and not suggestive or rhetorical questions on the part of the hosts.

Kelly Sue DeConnick returns to Ghost, Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti team-up for Harley Quinn, Joe Hill takes us to war with Thumbprint, and an old friend returns in Amazing X-Men. These are just some of the solicitations Mike reads through as he delivers the September Previews episode.

Your host doesn't like being around a lot of people. He's pretended to be sick so he doesn't have to go to parties before. So naturally, it makes sense to cover some mob mentality films. First up, Desmond and Darryll take a look at Breck Eisner's remake of The Crazies. Then Devil Dinosaur Jr. inspects what happens to crowds of people in natural disasters in the recent release, Aftershock. Desmond returns with Jeff and Brittney to get crazy on The Demented. There's also some crazy songs! "The Mob Rules" by Black Sabbath, "(Sic)" by Slipknot, "Panda" by Astro, "Infected Nation" by Evile, and "The Mob Goes Wild" by Clutch. Dan and Mike are old. And grumpy. But that's nothing new. So what is new? A genuinely good Christmas-themed episode of Doctor Who, that's what! Sure, it has flying sharks and an operatic voice that tames the sky, but "A Christmas Carol" has a lot of heart and solid acting. From there the guys lament the Doctor Who-related 2011 National Television Awards sketch, and have fun with the two-part mini-story "Space" / "Time." Please visit www.patreon.com/biggerontheinside.

Black & White Week concludes in a big way! First, Will sits down to talk about the early days of animation, then Dan joins him for a look at the Captain Marvel serials. DW returns for a chat with Dan about Godzilla, while James and Hannah cap things off with Citizen Kane. Stick around after the reviews, because there's still more: Shake and Blake hosts Dave Probert and Ian Wilson present a trailer for their next podcast! And, starting things off, Mike makes an announcement about Earth-2.net: The Show in the coming months.

Shana solves Hollywood's female problem with hardcore fairies, while Mike retcons President Madison out of US history. They also discuss Splash, starring Tom Hanks' shouty voice and Daryl Hannah's ass. Beware: Fish puns and odd sexual acts ahead. Black & White Week rolls on with Ian and Christian exploring Casablanca, then Hannah and Chris speak about Federico Fellini's 8 1/2.

After nearly two months, Kellen finally had a chance to sit down and discuss 2013's edition of Ai-Kon. While this will not be an unbiased review (Kellen and Jon have been members of the Planning Committee and Volunteer Corps, respectively, for some time now), it is the most detailed and all-access look you will get at Manitoba's largest anime convention.

Black & White Week would not be complete without a discusson of an Alfred Hitchcock picture. To that end, James and Chris take a look at one of Hitchcock's best films: Shadow of a Doubt.

It's been nearly two years since Will took over as co-host of Big Damn Heroes. Now, in a very special Zeppos, Will reveals some of his thoughts on the first three seasons of Buffy. Which episode does he disagree with the previous reviewers' scores, which character does he realize has been a problem from the start, and why should you send in feedback for the Buffy retrospective?
