Earth-2.net Presents...

In this episode of Animezing Podcast, things get even weirder on Nerima Daikon Brothers. "Roll Mine, No. 1" features the most ridiculously domineering wife in all of media (as well as what may be a direct Simpsons homage). "My Backroom Fortune-Telling" involves hilarious duck puns. "Play with Mine! Sue Me!" sees the show take a very meta-humorous turn. And "My Dirt-Cheap Rocket is About to Launch!" involves a pink Darth Vader costume. Join Kellen and Will as they hack their way through this brier patch of absurdity.

Dan and Mike are back with another installment of Earth-2-in-1. This time around, The Demon and Batman form a reluctant alliance in The Brave and the Bold #109, and The Thing aims to knock Iron Man's head off in Marvel Feature #12.

What do you get when you set Romeo and Juliet in a racially charged New York neighborhood in the 1950s? The all-singing, all-dancing, surprisingly subversive, perfectly executed West Side Story. Mike and Shana briefly discuss why their remake of West Side Story will be delayed by a few days.

In our latest episode, The Guys Outta Brooklyn welcome one of their major fans, and a major presence on our Facebook Group, into The BITD Cave for a freeform conversation about pop culture. Listen in as Tom, Derrick, and Jay discuss the James Bond Expanded Universe, childhood television memories, Stanley Kubrick, reality television, tabloid talk shows, and the silliest kaiju ever created! You know kids are people, too (WackadoWackadoWackado), so get to clicking, and don't forget to Twitter us at @BITDShow!

Episode 54 is here, and that smile on Angel's face can't be good. Over on Angel, there is liberal tossing of the idiot ball, Electric Girl (woogie woogie woogie woogie) shows up again, and our last episode culminates in one of the biggest and best fakeouts in the show's history. On Buffy, things go to hell, things also go fakey-boom, and despite a questionable pacing and an even more questionable passage of time, shit gets real. Also, this episode was conveniently recorded after that new Whedon show that just came out last night. Join Will and Hannah for first impressions of Agents of SHIELD, and Buffy's "Never Leave Me" and "Bring on the Night," and Angel's "Long Day's Journey" and "Awakening."

A new TV season is upon us, and Will is here to tell you what's coming. Topics include: Will spending awhile ranting about one show in particular and why he might continue to watch it despite it being insane, recurring nostalgia, many shows that refuse to die, and a regrettable bet from the previous year. All this and more in the TV 101 Fall Preview Spectacular!

Things get haunted this week as Brittney, Desmond, and Jeff take in a viewing of The Conjuring. Then Devil Dinosaur Jr. plays The Stone Tape in a brand new Stay Scary. And Jeff returns to discuss A Haunting at Silver Falls with Desmond and Luke. Howsabout some haunted tunes? "Playing with Dolls" by Slayer, "The Noose" by A Perfect Circle, "The Evil That Men Do" by Hellsongs, "Over the Falls" by Primus, and "Came Back Haunted" by Nine Inch Nails. So, you've just ridden a wave of underground popularity with a record that was 100% rock-driven synth pop. What do you do? Well, if your record label wants you to capitalize on that, you say "Fuck you" and release Broken. Nine Inch Nails' 1992 sounds so radically different from what came before that it's almost a new band. Which is weird because it's all basically one guy. Sit back and enjoy the conversation of an industrial metal classic by Desmond and Damien, two former members of Pigface. Oh, and an overview of the Grammy for Best Metal Performance throughout the 1990s, AKA Megadeth: Always a Bridesmaid, Never a Bride. Let us know what you thought: [email protected], and 410.871.8192.
