Earth-2.net Presents...

We're still undead with only a week to go 'til All Hallows Eve! This week Desmond, Jeff, and Luke cover the third film in the Spanish found-footage zombie trilogy: [REC]3 Genesis. Then Devil Dinosaur Jr. steps in to take a look at the late Bill Hinzman's pseudo remake of the zombie film that started it all: Flesh Eater. Desmond is back to go solo reviewing the Complete Hammer House of Horror from Synapse Films! Stick around for feedback, and to find out who won Wayne Simmons' audiobook of Flu! Also, there's songs! "Land of Confusion" by In Flames, "Die My Bride" by The Murderdolls, "Re: Your Brains" by Jonathan Coulton, "I Got to Put the Hammer Down" by Ween, and "Get Sick" by Suicidal Tendencies. The Host Club befriends the heir of a mob family ("Mori-senpai Has an Apprentice Candidate!") who falls in love with Haruhi ("Tamaki's Unwitting Depression!"). We see the beginning of the Tamaki / Kyouya friendship ("And so Kyoya Met Him!"), and the Host Club faces dissolution ("The Host Club Declares Dissolution!") only to survive to see another day ("This is Our Ouran Fair!"). In addition, Kellen and Will discuss their overall feelings on the show, and get into a lengthy discussion about a certain NBC comedy.

Like foreign films? Genre mashups? The undead? Man! You're going to love this episode's theme of foreign undead genre mashups! First up, author Jeff Strand joins us to talk about the Cuban zomcom Juan of the Dead. Then, in a brand new Stay Scary, Devil Dinosaur Jr. reviews the Hong Kong vamp-action movie Vampire Effect. And there's even a new contest to win one of two audiobooks of Wayne Simmons' Flu! There's even songs! "Government Flu" by Dead Kennedys, "My Way" by Sid Vicious, "We Bite" by The Misfits, and "Open Coffins" by Down. Send feedback to: [email protected], or 206.203.1213. While trapped in the grasp of a black hole, The Doctor is forced to come face-to-face with what just might be The Devil ("The Impossible Planet" / "The Satan Pit").Then, a child won a contest to get his monster on Doctor Who, so RTD thought it would be funny to make a man-gets-head-from-a-block-of-concrete joke in that episode ("Love & Monsters"). Classy. Also, the guys feel fabulous after getting glitter-bombed via e-mail.

It's a little late in the month, but it's time for the October Previews episode! Make sure to check out the Earth-2.net: The Show Shameless Pledge Drive by visiting http://forums.earth-2.net/index.php?showtopic=9344.

It's time for the DJ Comics Cavalcade Halloween Event! In this episode, covering The Phantom Stranger #5, The Phantom Stranger fights with Tala over the soul of a callous ladies' man, Doc Thirteen bitches and moans, and some hippie teenagers are busted by a sailor for "cooling off!"

Why are Shana and Mike rebooting Fantastic Four, a movie from 2005? 'Cause that's the way of superhero movies: reboot, remake, repeat.

How scary is American Horror Story? Too scary for Megan to watch more than one episode of. But there's still plenty to talk about as Desmond confuses his own sexual fantasies, and Megan admits by omission that Dylan McDermott's ass is one of her favorite parts of the show. It's Big Damn Heroes episode 35, and things are getting good. Over on Buffy, there's some major character development, plenty of heart-wrenching aftermaths, and some good old fashioned torture. And on Angel, they're not entirely sure what they're doing, really, but hey, Lindsey's hot. Also, this episode gives Will and Hannah the unprecedented opportunity to lech it up. Join them as they perv over Buffy's "Forever" and "Intervention," and Angel's "Disharmony" and "Dead End."

After a brief hiatus, both Earth-2.net: The Show and Waiting for the Trade return! First Mike reveals this week's goal and incentive for the Shameless Pledge Drive, then Tom and Chris dive into Nemesis, The All-New Batman: The Brave and the Bold - Help Wanted, and Hellboy: The Chained Coffin and Others.
