EarzUp!

Some of the most iconic Disney music comes from the 1964 classic, Mary Poppins. Even reading this now, you are probably humming one of those songs right now, that's how ingrained they are in us as Disney fans. Today, we take a look at the music of Mary Poppins, as Jeremy from SpectroRadio gives us the background and musical history of this beloved film.

Then we have some Disney News to talk about, including what's going on with Disney + - don't miss it!

The Jungle Cruise in Disneyland is one of those rides that you either love or hate - there's really not much of a middle ground there. And if you're like most of us, the "jokes" can sometimes get in the way of the actual ride. Today on the show, we talk with former Jungle Cruise Skipper and author of Skipper Stories: True Tales of Disneyland's Jungle Cruise, David Marley, who not only wrote about his time lurking about the jungles of Disneyland but he interviewed different Skippers across the various decades of the Jungle Cruise's lifetime. These two perspectives on this classic ride gives an accurate and in-depth look into what it takes to be a Jungle Cruise Skipper.

Then, we speak with our good friend Dave Marliave from Flat Tail Brewing Company, and his fundraiser called Highway to Health, where all funds raised go to brain tumor research.

Walt Disney was a patriot, even before he was famous. As Disney fans, we love to dig around in Walt's background, looking for fun facts and cool stories behind the man, and this show is 100% that. Sure, we have heard some stories that Walt was in World War 1 driving an ambulance, but that's where most of the story ends. Today we dig deeper into his time during the war, and how it helped to shape his future.

Look, we are just going to say it: Garner Holt has done more for theme parks than just about anybody - we'd even put him right up there with Walt himself in that category. Many folks won't know his name, but we have all seen his work around various Disney Parks (and beyond!). Today we are lucky enough to chat with Garner about his animatronic empire, how he got started crafting his moving artwork, and going over some of his more famous works.

After we calmed down, we talk a bit about the Walt Disney Family Museum again, and how they are coming on the show in the near future - very exciting for us! Then we do some Disney News and finally end the show.

Sometimes we tend to forget just how big The Walt Disney Company is, or how many working parts are involved. We just wake up in the morning and read about the latest Disney film, or ride, or venture and get on with our day. Ron Miller was one of those "working parts" that had a lasting and profound impact on The Walt Disney Company - and film history in general.

Today, we dig into Ron's time with Disney and explore how he rose up the ranks, from delivering blueprints to running the company, and the decisions he made to push moviemaking into new realms.

We also do a bit of Disney news, and talk briefly about a new addition to our Secret Show family ...

Beyond the characters, theming, rides, and churros of the Disneyland Resort is a world of theater shows. The Disney, Jr. Dance Party, Frozen Live at the Hyperon, Mickey and the Magical Map, and more are waiting for you to slow down enough to remember they exist at all.

On today's show, we try our hand at creating Disney's next theater show with a bit of creative thinking. What would we like to see in the Parks? Or, more accurately, what would we like to see replaced? And how many of us even remembered there were more stage shows than just the Frozen one at the Hyperion in DCA? So many questions, so little room on the SD card.

We also tackle some Disney News, and Jason sends Terrence back into the Press Room for some much-needed clarification.

There are certain facts that you have to face if you plan on visiting the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim: the parks will be crowded no matter what time of year you go, and it will cost way more money than you budgeted for. Once you come to terms with those two things, the stage is set for you to have a good time!

Considering Disney loves raising the prices of their theme park admission, it's no wonder we are looking for any way to save a buck! On today's show, we gather some tips and tricks to show you how to save money at Disneyland!

But first ... Jeremy from SpectroRadio joins us to talk about the music of Disney's classic film, Fantasia.

2018 was a big year for Disney, and there's only one way to send it out the door - review it! Back for our second year in a row, we run through the best (and worst) parts of last year and predict what's coming for 2019. Jeremy from SpectroRadio sits in for an absent Terrence, and we cover some Disney News!

Today's show is all about Destination D, the massive event that Disney held to spill the beans on some new attractions as well as give more info on some well-known stuff *cough* Star Wars Land *cough*.

Before we get into all of that, though, Terrence has a movie review for "Cinderella". Does the Disney Classic hold up? Find out!
