When our passion for God cools off, our drive to worship starts seeking other sources for hope, happiness, significance and security. But what we need isn't another amazing, mountaintop experience: we need the church! God created us for this community to sustain our worship, to center and re-center us on Jesus, to draw us together by the Spirit, and to root us in a radical new "ordinary" in God.

Has your love for others forgotten the cross? Has your faith in God forgotten to love others? Today we turned to our undivided Savior and found in Jesus both our righteousness and our salvation -- and now we worship God in both faith and action!

How do we embrace that fullness of responding to God in worship? Not in our own power, but in the power of the Holy Spirit, and trusting in the grace of God! May the Spirit guide your responses of belief, joy, contentment, commitment, and relationship with the Lord as you launch into this new week!

Worship fuels our sacrifice. When we know, love, and trust God, we're glad to entrust all we have and all we are to Him. How will you live this week as a "living sacrifice" to God, trusting Him with everything as Jesus lives in you?

God has revealed Himself -- and our worship must burst into words! Rejoice, root, and rehearse what we believe with one another; let your worship overflow into song, prayer, reading, and telling others the good news you have in Jesus!

Do you see God as holy? Do you have the hope that He is making you holy? Then let's worship the Lord in holiness: let's commit to set ourselves apart from this world's distractions and temptations, and to set goals for ourselves to be holy to the Lord. We're glad you came to worship the Lord with us!

Humanity has been chasing after glory, but in the wrong places. When we read God's Word, we find God’s glory in Jesus--and it must result in worship. Church, let's chase after glory! Let's find that glory in Jesus! And let's respond well to that glory in worship this week!

“It would be a shame if people never hear the music of the heavenly Jerusalem because the thunder of our Sinai drowns it out” (George Guthrie). Sunday's passage opens the door to the beautiful celebration before us in heaven – and how to live as people who have RSVP’d to the party!

When we're at our best, we want a coach that will shake us up to do the challenging things that we must to grow! Church--listen up! Hebrews 12:12-17 gives us our Coach's commands to run the race with endurance and to make the most of the Lord’s discipline.

People react in unhelpful ways when we face hardship in the Christian life. We wonder where God is, or what He’s up to, or what went wrong with Him! But God insists on training and correcting us as His children -- and we have to course-correct our minds and hearts even as we endure!
