While summer is exciting, it also poses unique challenges to growing in your faith, so we sat down with ministry partner and elder Jim Karch to talk about how to grow spiritually over the summer. We discuss what spiritual formation looks like, how to grow in your faith, and what practices are best to grow closer to God. And, of course, we have a good laugh about the funniest things that happened in the past week.

As followers of Jesus, we are then called to be a light in our everyday lives, even when we are opposed by those around us. Smoking, drinking, and partying is a big temptation during high school. How should Christian high schoolers respond? In this episode, we're joined by Eastview's Junior High Pastor Matt McClane as we discuss the Christian approach to parties, whether alcohol is a sin, and how a Christ-follower should respond to the legalization of marijuana.

This week, Marissa talks about how Christians are called to live in community. In Exodus 25, we see how the priest was the only person allowed at the table with God, but Jesus coming to Earth broke that mold. Jesus was inclusive to all but limited to one physical body, so with the presence of the Holy Spirit, the early church was able to be inclusive to all in all places. We, too, have the same call as the early church (5/2/21).

This week, Zach talks about the cleansing power of Jesus. When we struggle with sin or difficult life circumstances, God promises that he can make you clean. The wash basin in the Tabernacle points to Jesus washing away our sin, and also show the importance of taking the next step of baptism (4/25/21).
