Over the past year, this podcast became something I didn’t expect.
Not a platform.
Season 2 isn’t about having answers.
If you’ve been here, you’ve grown with me.
This season, we’re going deeper into identity, obedience, Scripture, and the kind of transformation that doesn’t happen overnight.
This isn’t performance.

I didn’t just write a poetry book… I responded to a conviction.
If you’ve been following the recent conversations on success, calling, and discontentment—this is what that process produced in me.
In this episode, I walk you through the heart behind Picking Flowers and Pricking Thorns—where it came from, what God revealed to me, and why I could no longer ignore the gift He gave me.
This isn’t just poetry. It’s a journey through tension—beauty and brokenness, growth and loss, surrender and purpose. From “before awareness” to “walking in purpose,” this book was written intentionally to reflect what it looks like to process life with God, not apart from Him. If you’ve ever wrestled with your calling, questioned your gifts, or felt the tension of becoming… this conversation is for you.
And if you’ve been supporting from a distance—this is your invitation to step into community, not just support.

You’ve been calling it success…
This is the final installment of the Biblical Success series (Episodes 79–82)—and we’re not just defining success anymore… we’re confronting it.
We started this series by exposing discontentment.
And now… we’re ending with the question that reveals it all:
This conversation comes from a real wrestle—one that forced me to examine my motives, my pace, and even how I viewed my own gifts.
Through Scripture and personal reflection, we walk through what it actually means to live a life that is successful in God’s eyes—not the world’s.
We’re anchoring in:
And we close this series with something personal—what it looked like for me to stop striving, surrender my gift, and simply obey… even when it wasn’t seen.
This episode isn’t just a conclusion.
So before you move on to the next thing, sit with this:
We’ve been asking what success really is…
Today, we’re anchored in Joshua 1:7–8, walking through what God actually said about success—not what culture defines, not what we’ve made it, but what He established.
Across multiple translations, the instruction is consistent:
Success isn’t about achievement—it’s about alignment.
This episode is an invitation for you to slow down, sit with Scripture, and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal what God wants to correct, heal, and sanctify—not just through you, but in you.
If this resonates with you, don’t keep it to yourself—share it with someone who’s been trying to define success on their own.
Have you ever felt like you’re behind in life… even while walking with God?
In this part 2 of our series on Christian success, we sit with a realization that challenged me deeply: what if the discontent we feel isn’t because we’re behind… but because we’re measuring our lives by a definition of success God never gave us?
We often inherit our understanding of success from culture—results, visibility, numbers, progress. But as believers, we are called to something different.
In this conversation, I don’t fully unpack the answer yet… but I begin to confront the question: What am I actually using to define success? We briefly look at Joshua 1:7–8—not to break it down, but to let it challenge us.
If you’ve been feeling pressure, comparison, or like you’re not where you “should” be… this episode is for you.
Next episode (Devotional episode: Ep. 82), we’ll slow down and sit with Scripture together to understand what God actually calls success.
Come sit with me.
There was a point where I had to stop and ask myself a real question…
This is the second installment in our series about success. When I got honest, I realized what looked like ambition on the outside… was rooted in something deeper on the inside.
In this episode, we’re slowing down and sitting with Luke 12:15, where Jesus gives a warning that challenges how we define success, contentment, and what really matters.
“Watch out… be on guard against all greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”
This isn’t just about money.
We’re unpacking:
If you’ve been striving, comparing, or quietly feeling like “it’s still not enough”… this conversation is for you.
This episode is an invitation for you to slow down, sit with Scripture, and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal what God wants to correct, heal, and sanctify—not just through you, but in you.

If you’ve ever quietly wondered “Why do I feel behind?”… this conversation is for you.
In this episode of Eat Don’t Compete, we begin a new series exploring what success actually means for a Christian. Many of us come into the faith carrying definitions of success that were shaped by culture, ambition, productivity, and comparison. But over time, God begins to expose the tension between worldly success and biblical faithfulness.
In this episode, I open up about my own wrestle with discontentment, selfish ambition, and redefining success through the lens of Christ.
We talk about:
This episode lays the foundation for a larger series where we’ll explore:
This conversation is about learning to fix our eyes on Christ so we can live faithfully without constantly redefining success according to the world. Scripture Mentioned Luke 12:15 Philippians 4:11–13

Before you ask God for strength, ask Him what needs to be laid down. Hebrews 12:1–2 changes how we endure, let's get into today's anchoring passage.
This episode is an invitation for you to slow down, sit with Scripture, and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal what God wants to correct, heal, and sanctify—not just through you, but in you.
Hebrews 12 calls us to lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily entangles us, and to run with endurance the race set before us.
But what if some of our spiritual fatigue isn’t attack — it’s distraction? What if we’re carrying things we were never assigned to carry? If you’ve been feeling heavy, stagnant, or spiritually tired — this reflection is for you.
Thank you for sitting in Scripture with me today. If this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who may be feeling weary in their race. And if you’re walking through these Anchored In devotional episodes with me, I’m grateful you’re here.
We’ll continue anchoring ourselves in the Word, together.

January stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. Sickness in our home. Hospital visits. Spiritual warfare. And a question I couldn’t ignore: Why does it sometimes feel harder when you get closer to God?
In this episode of Eat Don’t Compete, I share how one of the greatest lessons from this season wasn’t strength — it was spiritual stamina.
Spiritual stamina is the endurance to stay faithful when storms don’t stop. It’s the sobriety, consecration, and discernment required to withstand weight you once prayed for.
We talk about:
If this resonates with you:
Today we slow down and sit with Romans 12:1 together.
For years, I thought “present your body as a living sacrifice” meant simply giving something up for God. But through fasting, prayer, and consecration, the Lord revealed something deeper:
Transformation doesn’t happen without surrender.
In this devotional episode, we walk through Romans 12:1 in multiple translations and talk honestly about:
This isn’t about performance.
This episode is an invitation for you to slow down, sit with Scripture, and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal what God wants to correct, heal, and sanctify—not just through you, but in you.
If you’ve been praying for change, renewal, or growth with God… this conversation is for you.
