This Psalm is a praise to God from a psalmist who is so thankful for God's intimate knowledge of his heart and thoughts and the fact that he can never be far away from the Lord. Can we say the same?

Three times in this psalm, the author says to give thanks to Yahweh. He praises the Lord for all He has done to through His steadfast love and faithfulness to answer the psalmist when he called. Even kings will give thanks to the Lord when they hear of the Lord's faithfulness. Is the psalmist thinking a little highly of himself, or is there One for whom the Lord worked in faithful steadfastness that still causes kings to raise their thanks to Yahweh?

"His steadfast love endures forever" is something that we hear a lot of as we go through this 26 line Psalm. Why is that? Is there more to the Psalm than a simple re-iteration of good things that God has done?
