'Mind Playing Tricks on Me' by Geto Boys - 1991

Although I got my dates mixed up and there was no @submissionunderground, the weekend was still packed with action.

iKON held their fourth and last event of the year. It was headlined by Bella Mir, who looked extremely good on the ground. She controlled Alma Cespedes and put her to sleep with a rear naked choke.

Saturday then brings us the UFC's last PPV of the year with 'UFC 256', ten fights, six finishes! We have statement performances, sensational KO's, a comeback submission and possible fight of the year!!!

Things started off in crazy style with Chase Hooper's gutsy, comeback win, with a nice heel hook

Tecia Torres showed possibly the best ever form

And Cub Swanson after being out a year, comes back in scintillating fashion, with a right cross to show he's still a boss in the octagon

Now the main card, well, this was changed up the game a LOT!

Ciryl Gane was so damn smooth, then so damn deadly, closing the show with vicious elbows

With the reverse of fights, people thought Kevin Holland was going to be up against it. BUT, when it went to the ground, his dynamic movement and strikes got him back up the first and the second time, set up one of the illest KO's we've seen this year

Mackenzie Dern & Virna Jandiroba are both high level black belts, so this was a straight savage war. And Dern isn't backing down from anyone, especially now her hands are more deadly and precise

The Co-main event showed us the evolution of Charles Oliveira and established him as a clear and present danger in the Lightweight division!

Which then took us to the main event, Deiveson Figueiredo vs Brandon Moreno, both thought twenty one days ago, so how was this going to be.......It was potentially the fight of the goddamn year. I think it was only the third ever title draw and now everyone wants to know, when's the damn sequel

There's also some NFL recap and today's (ep 122) @ChinCheckPod breaks it all down, so let's get with it!

- NFL: Week 14: Sunday Games

- iKON 4: Mir vs  Cespedes

- UFC 256: Figueiredo vs Moreno

'G-Code' by Geto Boys - 2005

Well, Friday is here, so that means we are turning our gaze to what's been happening in the world of #MMA

We start things off with our with our week 14 NFL predictions.

Bare Knuckle FC President David Feldman seems to think that one study can show that bare knuckle is safe, which is odd. BUT, the study doesn't tell the full story!

Yoel Romero may have been released by the UFC, but his manager Malki Kawa has been hinting all week that a BIG announcement is forthcoming!!

For a good while Chi Lewis-Parry has been throwing shade at Jon Jones. How things change then, cause Lewis-Parry has now been handed a FOUR YEAR suspension by USADA.

Plus, Dana White is looking into making the first three events of 2021 a HUGE splash, with an 'International Fight Week' type of event!

AND we give the 'UFC 256' weigh-in's a quick look, everyone hit the mark, but we did loss one to the current skurge

Today's (ep 121) @ChinCheckPod breaks it all down, so let's get with it!

- NFL Week 14: Predictions

- BKFC President David Feldman believes recent 2.5 year study proves sport is safe!

- Yoel Romero asked for and received a release from his UFC contract

- Chi Lewis-Parry suspended 4 years by USADA

'Spicy' (feat. Fivio Foreign, A$AP Ferg) by Nas - 2020

We have another packed weekend of action, MMA and Grappling.

'UFC 256' kicks things off with their penultimate card of the year. A bunch of great fights, Kevin Holland is back and he still gets a tough fight in Ronaldo Souza.

Our Co-main gives us two questions, is Charles Oliveira ready for this level and is Tony Ferguson still hungry, still dangerous.

Then the Main event sees Deiveson Figueiredo vs Brandon Moreno in the fast ever title turn around in UFC history.

We then get the final 'Submission Underground' card of the year, with 'SUG 19' Chael Sonnen has lined up a great line-up, headlined by Satoshi Ishii, who challenges Mason Fowler for the strap!

So, let's preview the upcoming action with today's (ep. 120) @ChinCheckPod

- UFC 256: Figueiredo vs. Moreno

- Submission Underground 19

And Christopher Nolan has fired shots at Warner Bros. for releasing the 2021 film slate on HBOMax. Nothing's off limits on this week's episode!!!

PLUS, we hit Netlix for there first Brazilian (Portuguese) series about guardian "angelus" angels, the bureaucracy behind the machine and breaking the rules, 'Nobody's Looking'.

'Truth Hurts' by Lizzo - 2019

Some dirty lurgy can't mess with the weekend, cause that fight action, was slamming!!!

We got it popping with LFA's final card of the year!

So many fun fights on this one. Joseph Holmes just wanted to be on TV to show off those hands, William Starks came back with grit. Lisa Mauldin had that dirty inside game and Mark Martin was not gonna be denied plus Mo Miller with the slam KO!!

And the main event of Maycon Mendonça vs Batsumberel Dagvadorjwas some brutal arse craziness!

THEN, 'UFC on ESPN 19' a shorter card, BUT it really deliver!!! Five finishes out of eight fights, WHAT!!!

Ilia Topuria & Louis Smolka REALLY set the prelims on fire Topuria made his fight look easy, but Smolka came back with some Samurai heart f'sure.

Gabriel Benítez continued these liver murders we've been getting over the last few cards, with a knee from hell!

And in the Co-main, Jamahal Hill showed sharp hands can overcome size. Cause he put it on St. Preux and showed his rise is definitely no fluke, von or otherwise!!

Then Main event showed that Marvin Vettori got stakes, cause those cheques be good, son! It was back & forth, but Vettori had way to much pressure and those hands didn't go to sleep.

BUT, we can not forget Jordan Leavitt, who graduated with aplomb, from his 'Dana White's Contender Series' class. His slam KO, was straight gully!!!

There's also some NFL recap and today's (ep 119) @ChinCheckPod breaks it all down, so let's get with it!

- NFL: Week 13: Sunday Games

- LFA 96: Mendonça vs. Dagvadorj

'Juice' by Lizzo - 2019

Well, Friday is here, so that means we are turning our gaze to what's been happening in the world of #MMA

We start things off with our with our week 13 NFL predictions.

You knew it was coming and Evander Holyfield is going hard looking for a Mike Tyson fight. But for their legacies is a stretch.

David Feldman is also using Tyson as a way to blow up Bare Knuckle FC, cause there is no way he does bare knuckle!

We finally got the news we've been waiting on, Claressa Shields has signed with the PFL. So, we'll soon be able to see how she'll do in this ol MMA game.

And we now know when Bella Mir will do it again, and that's at iKON 4

And we give the 'UFC on ESPN 19' weigh-in's a quick look, Hermansson & Marvin Vettori were all good, but not so much for Ovince St. Preux!
