Hey ecofictologists and welcome to episode 30 of the Ecofictology podcast! This week I am so excited to talk to Mary Woodbury from dragonfly.eco which is an absolutely wonderful resource for anyone wanting to learn a bit more about ecofiction, get some recommendations, keep on top of news etc, Mary has published "Birdsong: a Novella" under the pen name Clara Hume and has several other titles under her belt as well. I learned so much from my chat with her, all about the ways people categorise ecofiction and how the stories themselves should be our focus rather than the term itself. You’ll remember some of these topics from an early episode I did on the definitions of ecofiction and dangers of categorisation, so if you want more context you can go back to episode 1 i believe, actually.
This is an archived episode from my youtube channel so if you prefer the visual medium, you can find the link in the shownotes. It was recorded via zoom so the audio is not amazing, but you’re probably used to that by now. I hope you enjoy
