New York just dropped new labeling rules for AI-generated characters in ads — the operator class is processing what it means for every brand running synthetic UGC. Plus three guest interviews on DTC paid search, post-purchase upsells, and the partner program turning agency referrals into a "negative CAC" channel.
ON TODAY'S EPISODE OF ECOMM COWBOY
Alex Walser (Founder, Savant Syndicate) — Alex Walser is the founder of Savant Syndicate, a boutique, senior-only ecommerce growth agency that bills itself as a "P&L-first growth partner to 7–9-figure DTC & ecommerce brands." Walser is a longtime paid-search operator who brands himself online as the "PPC Titan," cut his teeth co-founding and running SEM at ATTN Agency, and previously founded and operated the DTC brand Bearded Crew before moving on. He sits in the rare seat of having been both the brand owner buying the ads and the agency operator running them for others.
Alicia Gan (Senior Partner Marketing Lead, Rokt Aftersell) — Leads partner marketing at the post-purchase upsell platform for Shopify. Built the company's B2B agency partner program from zero to 50+ partners in seven months. She is one of the most visible operator voices on what actually moves AOV after the "Buy Now" click for Shopify brands.

Nestlé is putting human-identical proteins in baby formula — the timeline is processing what precision-fermentation hitting infant nutrition means for CPG. Plus three guest interviews on performance TV, the DTC personalization pivot, and the AI-native bank for middle-market operators.
ON TODAY'S EPISODE OF ECOMM COWBOY
Daniel Druger (VP of Product, Universal Ads) — Building Comcast's self-serve TV ad platform across NBCUniversal, Warner Bros. Discovery, Paramount, Fox, and Roku. Previously COO of AlgoLift (acquired by Vungle) and Head of Global Revenue Partnerships at Snapchat. Co-hosts ADSN with James Borow. We get into what changes day one for a DTC brand spending its first $10K on TV, the new MCP integration that lets you ask Claude or ChatGPT "how is my TV advertising doing," and when linear earns a line in a performance-first budget.
Sean Agatep (Co-Founder and COO, Vincero Collective) — San Diego premium men's accessories brand he started in 2014. Launched on Kickstarter, scaled to ~700,000 customers, now in low eight figures. Spent five years in China on product development. Has led a pivot from "watch brand" to "gifting and personalization brand" — including the rotary-engraver-in-the-office story studied across DTC. We dig into the attachment-rate threshold that justified the engraving bet, when Vincero admitted watches alone wouldn't carry the brand, and the cheapest test a $5M operator could run this quarter.

David Protein just dropped its Ice Cream Pints and the timeline is on fire — Andrea, Bryce, Darren Rovell, and the operator class are weighing in. We break down the launch and the David x Clipfarm news. Plus two stacked guest interviews on Shopify page-building and small-batch candle DTC.
ON TODAY'S EPISODE OF ECOMM COWBOY
Sanjay Jenkins (Growth, Replo) — Leads growth at the visual page-building tool for Shopify that lets merchants drag and drop their way to higher-converting storefronts — from product pages to homepages and everything in between. A lifelong ecommerce obsessive who's built a content engine turning the questions merchants actually care about into high-volume content, using Ordinal to produce and distribute it at scale. We dig into his "Built the Systems, Lost the Company" thread, the Replo page-builder playbook for merchants chasing conversion gains, what merchants get wrong about landing page design in 2026.
Sam Chai (Founder, Humankind) — Toronto-based dual-scented candle brand hand-poured solo from a midtown studio after seven venture-backed startups. Launched December 2023 with a dual-layer candle on a soy-and-coconut wax blend, FSC-certified wooden wicks, and a "duality of the human condition" brand story. Leaned hard on Farcaster as a launch channel — manually reaching out over Telegram to land on Trending for two days. September 2025 rebrand reframed Humankind as a thoughtful design object. We get into whether the crypto-native audience converted to long-term customers, how to avoid getting killed by the same labor problem that shut down the previous dual-layer candle player, what triggered the rebrand, the case for staying small-business indie when candle DTC is consolidating.

Messi just launched Más+ and the DTC timeline is processing what a global superstar entering functional hydration means for the category. We break it down — plus three guest interviews on student-founder CPG, live commerce, and building a national fermented foods brand.
ON TODAY'S EPISODE OF ECOMM COWBOY
Aditya "Adi" Banerjee (Founder and CEO, Posana) — UC Berkeley sophomore building a protein bar brand around Asian-inspired flavors like matcha latte and mango coconut turmeric. Bootstrapped from a dorm room through farmers markets, then closed a $500K+ pre-seed from angels at Sweetgreen, Vitaminwater, Stellar Snacks, and Leisure Hydration. Now in 40+ retail locations. We get into his conversion rate on retail pitches with unconventional flavors, why he's skipping the DTC-native playbook Magic Spoon and David rode, and his honest read on winning in a market about to have 50 protein-plus-fiber bars on every endcap.
Ashley "Ashni" Christenson (Marketing and Community Lead, Independent Advisor) — 13-year veteran across 60+ gaming, AI, and crypto startups, plus community programs touching Meta and Adidas. Built her own ~100K-follower personal brand and now analyzes live media on the ashnichrist YouTube channel. Author of the VSC flywheel (Video → Stream → Clips). We dig into her steelman for why human-hosted live shopping beats AI within 18 months, the minimum viable audience for own-channel live commerce, and which crypto/gaming community tactics actually port to a CPG brand.
Kevin Simonson (CEO, adMixt) comes on show to talk their recent acquisition!

Anthropic is rolling out Claude Mythos and the timeline is processing what it means. Plus Meta x Marpipe just dropped. We break it down — and bring in four stacked guest interviews on the future of commerce, retention strategy, the Shopify app ecosystem, and the case for static ads in an AI-everything world.
ON TODAY'S EPISODE OF ECOMM COWBOY
Phillip Jackson (Co-Founder and CEO, Future Commerce) — 20+ years in digital commerce, building Future Commerce into "the culture magazine for commerce." Defining thesis: "Commerce is culture." We get into Google I/O, native checkout with UCP, Glasses, and whether his "ecommerce has mostly been solved" call still holds up in the agentic AI era. Plus the "New Modes 2025" data on YouTube and ChatGPT nearing search parity for product research.
Feras Khouri (Co-Founder, New Standard Co.) — Email and SMS retention agency managing $1.2B in revenue across 50+ DTC brands including BYLT and Caraway. Previously scaled men's jewelry brand Manssion from 0 to 8 figures in 3 years. We dig into what it's like working with 8 and 9-figure brands vs. 7-figure brands, what owners need to do to graduate, why even $600M+ brands don't have basic popups, and why personalization should follow performance.
Chris Geiss (Co-Founder and CEO, Seguno) and Jonathan Zazove (Shopify) — The team behind Shopify's 2024 Build Award winner for Best App. We get into Built for Shopify status, why high-quality apps matter, and why Shopify is the source of truth for merchant data.
Colin Elefante (Founder, Ad Oven) — Static ad creative shop for DTC. Author of "The Big Book of Static Ad Frameworks + AI." We get into what productizing his internal playbook taught him, where the line is for AI in static ad creation, and the contrarian case for why humble static images are still where the ROAS is in 2026.

Meta just launched paid subscriptions — Eric Seufert and the operator class are breaking down what it means for the ad ecosystem and every brand running Meta. We dig in. Plus two stacked guest interviews on performance marketing and creator-led growth.
ON TODAY'S EPISODE OF ECOMM COWBOY
Lauren Huttner (Founder, Pebble) — Forbes 30 Under 30 2026, running a data-driven, creator-led marketing studio that fuses algorithmic and creative data with creator sourcing to make consumer apps go viral. Scaled TurboLearn from zero to 5M+ weekly impressions, with programs driving 57M+ views, sub-$5 organic CPMs, and #1 App Store rankings. We dig into the creative-iteration loop behind those numbers, the most common mistake brands make on TikTok that quietly kills CPMs, why ALL her creators did better on Instagram than TikTok, where she lets data overrule a creator's instinct, the contrarian case for staying an agency, and how she pushes app clients past a vanity #1 spike toward retained users.

Figure just signed a deal with Catalyst Brands to deploy humanoid robots — and the timeline is processing what it means for retail and ops at every scale. We break it down. Plus three stacked guest interviews.
ON TODAY'S EPISODE OF ECOMM COWBOY
Leandro Cabrini (Founder and CEO, Proppel) — The Argentine-born, UK-based founder placing vetted LATAM remote operators, marketers, and creatives into US and UK ecommerce teams. Clients include Jones Road Beauty, Pvolve, Cheers, and Mugsy. 100+ brands, 300+ candidates in a year. We get into the 20%-of-salary flat-fee model with no recurring markup, the Jones Road build (saving $500K+/year), the line clients shouldn't cross when offshoring creative, the case for human LATAM teams beating AI in the next 12 to 18 months, and the contrarian argument for why LATAM is structurally different from the Philippines wave.
Will Nitze (Founder and CEO, IQBAR) — Harvard neuroscience grad running IQBAR, IQMIX, and IQJOE. Deliberately omnichannel (~55% wholesale), running lean at ~9 employees. On pace for $125M revenue at 17% EBITDA in 2025, up from $59M at 13% in 2024. We dig into what he deliberately doesn't spend on, whether the Kickstarter "$1 eBook" playbook is still alive, whether the 3,000-store CVS deal was an unambiguous win, the "brain hook is the closer, not the opener" insight, and when a brand should start cannibalizing its DTC moat with Amazon and wholesale.
Tal Bar-Or (Founder and CEO, Altina) — Coining "hearing eyewear" as a new wearable category. AI-powered glasses with hearing enhancement embedded in the temples. Previously led product on Amazon's Echo Frames. Emerged from stealth May 1, 2026, built with Cubitts and backed by a Danish audio R&D center. We get into whether the real barrier is stigma or denial, the FDA hearing-aid line, what Echo Frames got wrong, and whether the bigger competitor on day one is Oticon or Apple's AirPods.

ON TODAY'S EPISODE OF ECOMM COWBOY
Jeromy Sonne (Founder and CEO, Daypart.AI) — Serial ad-tech founder bootstrapping Daypart since 2023. Started as a DSP and pivoted hard into an AI media-buying platform focused on B2B and account-based marketing — pitched as a programmatic company that "isn't exactly a DSP, isn't built on cookie-based data, and is native to cloud-based advertising." Austin-based, host of the Advertising Hot Seat podcast, and a vocal critic of brand-safety verification vendors and Big Tech's incursion into programmatic. We get into what bootstrapping forces you to do differently.
Andrew Youderian (Founder, eComFuel) — Left investment banking in 2008 to start an online CB-radio store, built and sold multiple niche ecommerce businesses, then launched the eCommerceFuel community (rebranded eComFuel in 2025) for 7 and 8-figure store owners. 1,000+ members representing $13B+ in collective revenue. Publisher of the widely cited annual Trends Report. We dig into the 50% jump in members manufacturing their own products and the 50% drop in dropshipping, whether mid-priced Amazon brands should be planning their exit now that Amazon has "lost the middle tier.
Jamey Gannon (Founder, Brand Sprints; Head of Brand, Portal) — NYC-based brand designer and self-described "AI creative director." Runs Brand Sprints — fast-turnaround 4 to 8-week sprints at $25K to $50K that blend strategy, logo, web, and custom-GPT deliverables.
Riley Gannon (UGC Marketing Engineer) — 19-year-old self-taught marketing engineer who learned Claude three months ago from her sister Jamey and has been shipping production AI tools ever since. Former Microsoft sales rep who ran Spikeball as a side hustle until it hit $1.5M with zero employees. Famously pitched on Shark Tank Season 6 (the deal Mark Cuban calls his all-time "one that got away").
