I am so glad someone recommended I interview Rachel Greer. They were so right, she is impressive, beyond knowledgeable about Amazon, specifically her areas of expertise are Product Testing: specifically related to Safety, Regulatory requirements and product quality. She is a partner in Cascadia Seller Solutions, a company of former Amazon employees (almost all) who also are experts in the area of Amazon that they worked in. These are not the lower 10% that fall off, rather they are some of the best and brightest that were taught (or were) entrepreneurs who worked in a job, then broke free (for freedom) and now excel on their own. Very cool real world discussion with a leader how can help propel your business forward.
Barbara is direct and to the point: She will be successful despite of circumstances, challenges and problems that will arise! She is creative, hard-charging and certain in her strategy. One of my biggest takeaways is how she created her own market on Facebook: Barbaras Funky Treasures where she can market to her group (her audience +1200 members). Genius! This is a pick yourself up, dust yourself off and put your head down and do the work interview! No coddling here, won't be tolerated, you can do it, the market opportunities are incredible!
I really enjoyed Margaret's hustle. She is using all of the major eCommerce markets to sell, and she is doing well on all! I was looking for someone doing well on Etsy for a while. Not saying there are not many that are, they just travel in different circles, I have Jason T. Smith to thank for connecting us. If you are looking for another channel to sell on, of course there is Ebay (and several other smaller less traffic'd sites) but consider Etsy. So you will not be able to sell your Amazon returns but imagine selling high end collectibles? Could this be a great fill in revenue stream that helps keep you interested in the business? There is a very real risk of this becoming a proverbial "JOB"! Not saying it is not work, rather you don't need a job! You need an income, something that keeps you interested, focused on living a life!
Monica is a ball of enthusiasm, her laughter is infectious! She is the center of the group cackling in the corner, you will want to know her. This interview includes some difficult subjects, early unexpected death of a single-parent, followed by a serious cancerous tumor and other personal challenges. The great news is how Monica came through each of these, she offers insight and hope for everyone. Think about your life, if you haven't had to run into these issues yet....just wait they are coming! Sorry to say that but having the tools and methods to get past them and just knowing you CAN get past them will help you in the future. Great interview with a great inspirational educator...yes she runs a company called eCommerce Kids where they teach kids how to start, run and grow an eCommerce business.
Cynthia tends to be a little self-deprecating about what she does...let's face it, she is talking people off a proverbial ledge! They had a plan, maybe growing a real business with Amazon and then boom... they get a letter saying their account is now closed, under review or gone forever! (Guess she earns the self-deprecating stripes!) But while her message is tough, eye-opening and hard to take, she speaks direct truth. She has more clients than she can handle some times! Her company has grown to over 20 staffers who work full time helping get accounts on the straight and narrow!
She is very generous and gives us a plan to make sure your account is on and more importantly stays on track!
