(English) On May 9th, 2009, Supreme Master Ching Hai was invited to attend the videoconference on global warming entitled “Be Organic Vegan to Save the World.” During the conference, the Supreme Master pointed out that the oceans play a major role in regulating the global climate. However, fishing has severely disturbed the complex ecosystems of the world’s oceans. (Chinese) The environment of this world makes us regress easily and become more stupid and worse. This is a world of form, color and discrimination; therefore, when we come to this world, we will become an outward being. Our mind is frequently distracted by things we like, so we forget our own great wisdom. Gradually, we are more and more separated from the great power in the universe, and become a lonely person. We become weaker and weaker with less and less wisdom and no sense of security, so the thoughts of ...

She said, “We have to be compassionate again; we have ...

(Chinese) What is Dharma? It is something intangible and hard to explain, at most we could talk only a little bit about it. Actually true teachings are not to be talked with mouth, and cannot be expressed with words. Therefore, it's not easy to teach the Dharma with this body or to spread it through physical means, because all physical things are already too coarse and do not belong to the level of wisdom. If we want to explain something that belongs to great wisdom with this non-wisdom vehicle, it is almost ...

(Chinese) Supreme Master Ching Hai hopes and encourages spiritual practitioners to have a positive attitude and to be optimistic. We should say positive and nice words instead of negative ones. If we want to improve our practice and avoid Maya's hindrance, we should have a positive attitude to scare ghosts and demons away. Then they dare not bother us even if they come. When our positive power is strong, they will be scared away. The vibration of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas is very subtle, while the vibration ...

(Chinese) Where do we find Heaven? Do we need to find a heavenly ladder to reach Heaven? Supreme Master Ching Hai says that being in either Heaven or Hell occurs just in a flash of thought, and that in Heaven there is no greed, hatred or ignorance. When we’re in the Samsara world, it’s just like being in Heaven if we feel no suffering. Thus, we hear teachings such as “Buddha is in our heart” and “the heavenly kingdom is within us.” If we practice well and have a good method and a great ...

(Chinese) Enlightenment has the meaning of Ming Bai (clear and bright); there is sunlight and moonlight in the characters of Ming Bai. We will see Buddha's light and our own light when we get enlightened, which is our own Buddha nature. Buddha nature is different from the nature of ordinary people. It has no form or quality for people to catch, touch or smell. This light is very simple, clear and bright, but all things and all wisdoms are in this light; all things in the universe are clear and bright, and originate ...
