Jank- it's a term that gets thrown around a lot in the Magic scene. "This card's jank, that deck is jank." But what does it really mean to be jank? In today’s episode, we brought out long time friend of the show and Magic the Gatherering cryptid Jesse to give the audience a deeper insight into the world of jank. Chaos, baby!

Many Magic the Gathering content creators and shows are focused on improving your gameplay and deckbuilding in an effort to win more games. In today’s episode, we would like to go against that grain. We would actually like to make the case that many commander players should LOSE more games, and discuss the value of losing more.

How easy should it be to win a game of Commander? Some people say that simply reaching the right amount of mana should lead to a win. With the likely unbanning of Coalition Victory, we decided to have a discussion about the idea of "it costs x mana, it SHOULD win you the game."

It has finally happened. Tuesday, February 11th, Gavin Verhey unveiled the long awaited bracket system for commander power matching. Commander players have long desired something resembling an “objective” power level scale. Will the bracket system fulfill that purpose? With the system still in beta, even Gavin himself will admit it is far from perfect. But is it the best system yet?
