According to a recent update from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russian President Vladimir Putin is a risk-averse and highly calculating actor who likely sought to manage the emerging threat to his control from Yevgeny Prigozhin and the Wagner Group by gradually reintroducing the Russian MoD into prominence and power. Putin had ultimately allowed the Russian MoD to retake control of the Bakhmut direction from Prigozhin in January as Wagner forces failed to deliver the promised victory over Bakhmut by the end of 2022.

Nuix has announced that Mr. Edward Sheehy has lodged a Notice of Appeal against the Federal Court of Australia's decision to dismiss his claims. Mr. Sheehy contests that the primary judge was incorrect in concluding that he was precluded from raising the matters in his claims by reason of the doctrine of Anshun estoppel and that share options held by him could not be exercised following Nuix's IPO in December 2020.

According to the announcement from ENISA, with the current trend of increasing cyber incidents also affecting Operators of Essential Services (OESs) to a large extent, a majority of them perceive cyber insurance as a service they cannot afford given the outstanding premiums and disadvantageous coverage. According to data gathered through a survey targeting 262 OESs across the EU, three in four do not currently have cyber insurance coverage. The survey also reveals that other risk mitigation strategies are often considered more favorable by OESs.

According to a recent update from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukrainian forces may be conducting a limited fighting withdrawal in eastern Bakhmut and are continuing to inflict high casualties against the advancing mixed Russian forces. Russian milbloggers have also lowered their expectations of Russian forces’ ability to launch additional offensives, which would likely culminate whether or not Russian forces actually capture Bakhmut. The likely imminent culmination of the Russian offensive around Bakhmut before or after its fall, the already culminated Russian offensive around Vuhledar, and the stalling Russian offensive in Luhansk Oblast are likely setting robust conditions for a future Ukrainian counteroffensive.

France submitted the most “right to be forgotten” requests between 2015 and 2021, with 255.6k requests accounting for nearly a fourth of all requests submitted over this period. 176.1k requests came from Germany, and 125.3k from the UK, with each country accounting for around 17% and 12% of the total, respectively. Requests submitted by these three countries comprise around half of all “right to be forgotten” requests submitted between 2015 and 2020. All other countries account for less than 10% of the total each.
