He holds Masters degrees in Military Studies, Systems Technology, and International Relations. He is currently the Director of Patriots Landing a project of Operation Honor that helps heal and rehabilitate service men and women. He also serves as volunteer manager of the Answers in Genesis volunteer ministry.

Homelessness is a huge problem in California.  Tent cities are taking over the streets of major metropolitan areas.  According to the 2020 Homeless Assessment Report, more than 50% of the US's homeless are in California.  Can anything be done to actually address the root causes of this growing crisis?  And for that matter, what ARE the root causes?  Are the homeless just average people, down on their luck, who can't catch a break?

This week Kevin talks to Dr. Alan Walker, an expert on plant breeding and genetics and a young-earth creationist.  Alan earned an MS in Plant Breeding in from the University of Maryland, and a PhD in Plant Breeding and Cytogenetics from Iowa State University. He worked 34 years in the seed industry, 6 years with The Ohio State University and 28 years with Asgrow Seed Company/Monsanto. As a soybean breeder, Alan co-developed 46 soybean varieties.  In this episode, Alan explains why all of his expertise in plant genetics leads him to the conclusion that plants are not the product of random evolution—they were created by God.

Today Kevin's guest is Mark Horstemeyer, Dean of Liberty University's School of Engineering.  In the world of engineering, Mark has done it all: earning his Masters' and Doctoral degrees, researching, publishing scientific papers, lecturing, teaching at universities, and even creating companies based on his own designs.  As an expert on what it takes for an engineer to "create the world that never was", Mark explains how we can know that life was not an accident; it was developed by the Master Engineer.

The government takes away a large percentage of your income at gunpoint (it's called taxation) and spends it on public "education".  But in reality, public schools attempt to indoctrinate your kids into certain political ideologies, while leaving them academically unprepared for community college.  If you want a real education for your children, you better be able to afford private school tuition, in addition to what you already pay in taxes to prop up failing public schools!  How is this system just?

Michael Alexander is the founder of the California School Choice Foundation.  They are working to get a school choice voter initiative, the Education Freedom Act, on the 2022 ballot.  This initiative will give parents the right to spend their own money on their own children's education in the way that they choose.  They're your kids, and it's your money.  It should be your choice to use it to provide them an education as you see fit.
