John the Baptist gives testimony of Jesus saying I am not the Christ, I am not that Prophet spoken of in the Old Testament, He said I am not Elijah, yet he was a prophet clothed in humility.

The history of the Fathers of Israel serve as an example to us and an admonishment for we are they who are living to the end of the age until the coming of the Lord Jesus. Our lives therefore are to be lived in Christ and for his glory. Let us avoid the temptations that overtook those who journeyed through the wilderness.
