Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, the notorious drug kingpin, has been found guilty in his US trial after six days of deliberations by the jury. Throughout the trial which started last November, gave us a look into the inner workings of a $14 billion drug empire. His sentencing now comes up in June. My producer Miranda joins us for all the details and some of the trial highlights.
Next, we speak to Joanna Stern from the WSJ, who asked a certified ethical hacker to get into as many of her webcams as he could. He was easily able to get into her system, snap shots of her and even spy on her child through a Wi-Fi connected baby monitor. Joanna joins us for some tips on how to protect yourself, and the big realization, we are often our own worst enemies.
Finally, after two years and 200 interviews the Senate Intelligence Committee is getting ready to wrap up its investigation into the 2016 election and it seems to be a big win for the president. They have uncovered no direct evidence of a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia. Daniel Lippman, reporter for Politico, joins us for the Senate report and what it means for other investigations.
