Segment 1: Amber Banda interviews Walli Haley, Founder and Chairwoman of the Board of the El Paso Preservation Alliance. This organiation was created to promote and preserve historic neighborhoods, homes and landmark buildings, and to foster appreciation for these structures through education and advocacy. Some of these districs and buildings include the Austin Terrace District, Historic Downtown El Paso, Magoffin Historic District, and Manhattan Hieghts.
Walli is very knowledgeable and passionate about preserving these buildings and helping homeowners in this districts preserve and maintain their houses.

Many people here in the border city still do not have access electronics and internet access. Being connected this day and age is extremey important; from applying for jobs and colleges, looking for work, submitting resumes, researching for school projects, paying bills, and even checking on medical records. Marathon and Borderplex Connect are working to close the didgtal divide in underserved communities here in El Paso.

Amber Banda speaks with Candice Reyes, Founder and Director of The Jazz Exchange in El Paso, TX. After coming back from living on the east coast for 10 years and seeing the jazz scene in El Paso lacking, Candice and her husband Abel decided to create this organization to educate and entertain the public via jazz music. Amber and Candice talk about the differences between the jazz music scene in the east coast vs here in the Sun City, Candice's musical upbringing, and events coming up where people can be exposed to this amazing and often misunderstood form of music.

They also talk about an upcoming fundraiser, the Brew Battle Pillow Fight, with a stacked lineup of pillow fighters ready to fight and raise funds in the sake of JAZZ. The Jazz Exchange will also have a special performance between smackdowns. Then look no further! Amber Banda interviews Enrique Garcia, the Healthy Kids Director for Boost Network of United Way, about their online resources to help parents find camps and events for their kids to do this summer. Segment 1: Amber Banda talks with El Paso Sun City Pride president Christopher Eck. June is pride month, and thus a very busy month for EP Sun City Pride. Segment 2: Amber Banda interviews Dolores Ituarte Valenzuela, President of El Paso Gold Star Family Memorial and Gold Star daughter. Gold Star families are the immediate family members of a U.S. military service member who has died in the line of duty. Dolores talks about losing her father, having a school named in his honor, how this organization came to be reaized, and how it plans to ensure that the stories of these brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice continues via the Gold Star Memorial. This memorial will serve as a place where Gold Star families and the community can go to pay respects, honor, and remember. Tune in to learn what the memorial will look like, location, and what is still needed from the community to support this structure and make it happen in the Veteran Capital of America, (El Paso)!

Robert even tells a story about a man who went in to donate, and the pre-screening ended up saving his own life! They need your blood!

Common Threads helps people with resources to fight food insecurity and also provides nutritional education to children and caretakers, as well as cooking classes for kiddos! Their "Cooking Skills and World Cuisine" classes are taught by chefs, and each class is themed to a region; Italian, French, American cooking, etc! Kids get hands-on practice while learning about different cultures. In addition, they offer workshops and classes to help families shop on a budget, have basic cooking skills, and educate people on the importance of nutrtion and eating meals as a family. Amber Banda interviews country artist Redferrin about his transition from song writing to artistry, his new single "Just Like Johnny," his thoughts about coming to El Paso and a collab with a Mexican country artist. He also has a special thank you message for everyone listening.

Originally from White House, TN, Redferring started writing hit songs for Florida Georgia Line's "Countryside," Nelly's "Lil Bit," and Dean Brody and The Reklaws' “I Can’t Help Myself." He has a "take it or leave it attitude" while also be gracious and humble. His song writing is so different and meaniingful, unorthodox yet traditional, and he slays that mullet!
