DCOM Time! If you didn't think we'd be back for the sequel well now you can bet on it!

We spend a considerable amount of time discussing if Sharpay is truly fabulous or just a horrible person.

It was a clashing of perspectives between a loyal Sharpette and a die-hard Sharphater but we managed to work this out. 

And just like before, we bring our personal rankings of the High School Musical 2 soundtrack.

After listening to it everyday this week we are ready to give you our definitive lists.

However, we mostly had to go our own way this time around because we basically had exact opposite opinions on which songs were better than others.

We were not all for one.

It must be the music in me from the first High School Musical because these had me feeling like I don't Dan-  Ahhhhlright that's it!

You guys get the point of what's going on here

High School Musical!

We cover the movie as usual. We compare the Disney High School experience to our own. And call out moments for how silly or funny they are.

But most importantly, we give you our official High School Musical song rankings.

This was not an easy task! But we managed to do it.

So which song bopped to the top? And which one just stuck to the status quo?

Hi everyone, 

This episode is a little different. We talk about a lot of interesting topics. Like:

WhatsApp. Are your messages really encrypted or is Mark secretly lurking in all of our group chats? 

Face ID. How reliable is it? Can you trick it into thinking another person is you?

Computer Dating. Is it still weird to go out with strangers you met online? How did people meet before the Internet?

We even give our "hot take" about a big Marvel movie.

And every once in a while we'll sprinkle in some discussion about the movie Sneakers!

Today we experience Interstellar. There, is so much going on with this movie. We do our best to explore all the ideas it has to show us. Worm holes, Black holes, Gravitational Time Dilation, Theory of Relativity, The Fourth and Fifth Dimensions, Singularity, Tesseract, And the most confusing of them all...Love.

It's not possible to cover every idea that was shown in the movie. But it's necessary.

We did it.

We entered the furthest depths of the mind of Stanley Kubrick. Decades of humanity's technological advancements has led to this. But our mission was not an easy one. We journeyed through an array of multicolored vistas. Traveled through multiple dimensions and various levels of consciousness to reach our final destination. And what do we find?

The Black Monolith.

Within it contains the greatest gift to humanity. 2001: A Space Odyssey.The 1968 film that made waves across the galaxy. Forever influencing future generations of film makers and cinema itself. A film so prestigious that it is considered to be the greatest sci-fi movie of all time.

But what do we think? Do we agree? Did Stanley Kubrick convince us to embrace the glory of the mighty Black Monolith?

Return to Me is a romantic comedy. Another genre of movie that I typically wouldn't watch. But it was actually quite interesting. It has a lot of great talking points because it has a pretty unique story.

It's about a man named Bob who loses his wife, Elizabeth, due to a car accident. And her heart is then transplanted into another woman, Grace, who was in need of it. Unaware of the connection they have to each other, Bob and Grace eventually cross paths and fall in love with each other.

So we get into the questions that come up while watching this movie. When you get the heart of another person, what kind of connection do you have with the people who loved that person? How do you react if you find out some one else has the heart of someone you loved? 

These are much deeper questions but our conversation is mostly lighthearted. It is a romantic comedy after all.

Welcome to this nearly 5 hour episode of the Elbow Nudge Podcast, where we covered ALL 5 Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

An episode so gargantuan and Kraken-like in size that we had split it into two parts. 

In this first part we talk about Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.

We go over their stories, characters, and our favorite scenes and moments. You might also come away learning a lot of great behind the scenes facts that Caroline does a great breakdown of.

The Pirates Franchise is so beloved by us that we just had to finally get all of our thoughts out there. You'll hear us quoting, singing, and do impersonations the whole way through and I apologize ahead of time.

This week we watched a movie recommended by a friend. The Willoughbys. It's a Netflix animated movie about a group of weird but lovable children who have terribly awful parents. So they look for ways to form a more "ideal" family. 

Thanks Ashley for this week's recommendation. I probably wouldn't have seen this movie on my own. But I'm glad we did because it's worth it for Jane's song alone. 

This movie brought up some interesting conversation. About parenthood, what families really are, the movie's animation style, and of course, the gift and curse of having a beautiful mustache.

Hey Everyone!

For our final episode of the year we decided to look back and talk about all the movies, shows, and even documentaries, we have seen in 2021. We can't cover it all on each podcast episode so we do our best to summarize our thoughts on each one and delve deeper into a few that stood out to us. 

We start off by sharing our New Year resolutions. Hopefully you have also decided on a resolution to take on in 2022.

Then we do a quick MCU recap. That's right, we were able to give a brief overview of all MCU movies and shows that came out this year. Okay not all of the MCU. We still have some catching up to do. But I was still surprised by how much we covered. 

After that, well, we just open up the flood gates. We talk about a ton of movies. But to give you an idea, I'll name a few that we talked about at a longer length than the others.

Shang-Chi, Jungle Cruise, No Time To Die, This is a Robbery, The Last Blockbuster, Malignant, The Greatest Showman, Jingle All the Way, Invincible, The Tomorrow War, 50 First Dates, Luca...

This year is coming to a close. I'm sure, for many of you, there are a lot of moments to look back fondly on. And also, a lot of difficult times we want to forget. I know that is true for me. But I'm choosing to remember this year as a good one. Because there is a lot to be grateful for. We started this podcast this year. It's been such a great experience so far and one of the highlights of my year. So I want to take the time to thank everyone who reached out to us personally. Who gave us words of encouragement. And who told us they enjoyed listening to us. I appreciate you guys and Thank You for caring about what we are starting here.
