This week in Elder-Speek we go into the darkness with nothing but a flashlight and static radio, its Halloween and we’ve compiled a list of our most recommended Halloween games. As usual there’s also news to report and games to be played, among which are Torchlight, Tekken 6 and The Club.

Eliot is back this week for our 28’th episode of Elder-Speek. In this episode we discuss news topics like the God of War 3 DLC, Assassin’s Creed Lineage and Modern Warfare 2 missing dedicated servers. For Our Week in Geek we feature Brutal Legend, DJ Hero and FATALE among others. As usual we have discussion topic to argue over, this week we tackle Peter Molyneux’s list of revolutionary games.

In this episode of ELDER-SPEEK Gavin, Patrick and Mats discuss the state of videogame movies and what could be done to improve them. In Our Week in Geek they go over Brutal Legend, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising. For news topics range from the Resistance 3 announcement and Captain Lou Albano’s death to ABC News’ comparison of Citizen Cane and Metroid.

This week the good old crew is gets back together to discuss the evolution of videogame storytelling. Left 4 Dead 2 is in the news along with Gun of War, Wal-Mart and Demoplay. Our week in geek is action filled and very wrong, with games including Beyonetta, Operation Flastpoint 2, Scribblenauts and Pixel Junk Monsters.

This week Mats, Kipp and Gavin take on the fall season complete with all the big name titles coming out. We talk about all the major news of the week and totally disrespect each other for Our Week in Geek. Major news topics include Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond, Earthworm Jim HD remake and the Funcom layoffs.

In this episode of Elder-Speek, Kristie joins Randy and Mats for a TGS special. In addition to all the spectacular and not so spectacular news coming out of TGS, we dig deep down in our cynical selves to come up with a few upcoming big name releases that we are NOT excited about. Lastly, we go of topic on a space adventure featuring joules, anti-matter and mysterious sound carrying space particles.

This week Jesse joins us for the first time to discuss video game marketing campaigns for the question of the week. In the news The Witcher 2 gets confirmed, Shane Kim leaves Microsoft and Sony attacks BBC. To top it all of Kipp reminds us to get out or swashbucklers for Saturday’s ‘talk like a pirate day’.

This week we introduce our most recent addition to the staff; Kristie Barber. With a plethora of news we dive right into it with Pax and the nerd-flu. We have of course also been playing a few games here and there so F.E.A.R not. Lastly we tackle the question of video games as catharsis, do we use them to release stress and anger and are us doing so healthy?

We leave it all in this episode, every hilarious mistake and technical difficulty. We also switch it up a bit in doing the news before our week in games, finishing with this week’s EPIC question of the week –centered around network gaming.
