What if the Gospel of John wasn't written just to inform you—but to confront the biggest question of your life?
Why did John write his Gospel when three others already existed?
At the end of his book, John gives us the answer:
"These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name." (John 20:30–31)
In this opening message of our Come and See series, we explore why John carefully selected only certain miracles, conversations, and encounters with Jesus. Every page points to one purpose: helping you decide who Jesus really is.
This message tackles questions like:
Why are there four Gospels?
Why did John leave so many stories out?
Is Jesus really the Son of God?
What evidence does John give us to believe?
What does it actually mean to have "life" in His name?
Whether you've followed Jesus for years, are skeptical of Christianity, or are simply searching for truth, John's invitation is the same:
Come and see for yourself.
This isn't just another sermon. It's an invitation to encounter Jesus through the very words written so that you might believe.
Scripture: John 20:30–31
