Elevate City Church

What is standing between you and wholehearted devotion to Jesus? In this powerful message from the Half-Heartedseries, Pastor Joe Baker unpacks the Bible’s warning against idolatry and reveals how modern idols—such as success, comfort, money, approval, relationships, and control—can quietly compete for our hearts. Through the story of Israel’s repentance in 1 Samuel 7, we see that spiritual breakthrough begins when God’s people stop managing their idols and start putting them away. This sermon is a call to repentance, wholehearted worship, and renewed devotion to Christ, reminding us that true freedom, victory, and revival are found when Jesus alone sits on the throne of our hearts.

In this powerful message from guest speaker Jeff Henderson, pastor and author of Know What You’re For, we explore how to navigate seasons of waiting with faith and confidence. Discover biblical wisdom for waiting well, growing spiritually, and believing that God’s plan for your life is better than your own. Watch now and be reminded that even in the waiting room, God is still at work.

In this powerful message from Elevate City Church’s Half-Hearted series, Peachtree Corners Campus Pastor Thomas Cheeseman challenges believers to put to death missional apathy and live wholeheartedly for Jesus. Preached on International Day for the Unreached and Pentecost Sunday, this sermon explores Mark 5 and the story of the demon-possessed man who was radically transformed by Jesus and sent to reach his city with the Gospel. Thomas shares a passionate call to repentance, consecration, evangelism, and revival, reminding us that there are still 3.4 billion unreached people around the world who have never heard the name of Jesus. If you’ve been feeling spiritually complacent, distant from God, or stuck going through the motions, this message will reignite your passion for the Great Commission, the secret place, and sharing your testimony. Discover how your story can be a weapon against darkness and why God is calling everyday believers to boldly make Jesus known in their neighborhoods, cities, and the nations.

Pastor Joey McLaughlin delivers a powerful message on the cross of Jesus and what it means to truly surrender your whole heart to God. Through Hebrews 12, Romans 5, Ephesians 2, and Colossians 2, this sermon explores how the cross is more than a religious symbol — it is the center of the Christian faith, where sin was defeated, freedom was purchased, and God demonstrated His love for humanity. Pastor Joey unpacks the seriousness of sin, the reality of spiritual numbness, and the life-changing truth that Jesus didn’t just die for the world in general — He died personally, intentionally, and lovingly for you. This message is a call to stop going through the motions, remember the power of the gospel, and experience the freedom, forgiveness, healing, and new life that only Jesus can give. Whether you’ve followed Jesus for years or are still searching for hope, this sermon will challenge you to see the cross with fresh eyes and respond wholeheartedly to the love of God.

Guest speaker Josh Howard delivers a powerful message on wholehearted surrender, revival, and what it truly means to follow Jesus without compromise. In this sermon at Elevate City Church, Josh challenges believers to move beyond lukewarm Christianity and become people who are “known in heaven and feared in hell.” Through Acts 19, the story of the Apostle Paul, and the call to repentance in Acts 3, this message explores disciple-making, spiritual authority, consecration, revival, and living fully surrendered to Jesus. Josh also shares encouraging updates about global revival movements, thousands coming to Christ worldwide, and why Elevate City was recognized as one of the leading disciple-making churches in North America. If you’ve been searching for deeper intimacy with God, freedom from idols, renewal through the Holy Spirit, or a fresh passion for Jesus, this sermon will challenge and encourage you to give God your whole heart.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, spiritually dry, or just going through the motions, this message is for you. In this sermon from our Half-Hearted series, Pastor Joey McLaughlin shares a practical and hope-filled call to move from burnout, distraction, and emotional exhaustion into a life of purpose, peace, and wholehearted devotion to Jesus. This message speaks to anyone searching for meaning or longing for a deeper connection with God—reminding us that real transformation doesn’t come from doing more, but from returning to what matters most. Through simple, biblical practices like time with God, community, generosity, and worship, you’ll be encouraged to rediscover joy, clarity, and the fullness of life God created you for.

Pastor Joey McLaughlin continues the Half-Hearted: The Death of Going Through the Motions series with a powerful message titled “Return,” calling us to confront the reality of divided hearts and rediscover God’s relentless, pursuing love. Through the story of Hosea and Gomer, this sermon exposes how we, like Gomer, are often unfaithful—giving our hearts to lesser things and even enslaving ourselves to sin—yet still reveals a God who doesn’t just speak love but proves it by pursuing, redeeming, and restoring us anyway. If you’ve ever felt distant from God, stuck in routine, or caught between two lives, this message is an invitation to move beyond half-hearted faith into a real, wholehearted relationship with Jesus. It’s not about performance or perfection, but about responding to a love that never stops chasing you—and when you truly understand that love, it changes everything.

In Pastor Joey McLaughlin’s sermon “Break the Jar,” part of the Half-Hearted series, he challenges believers to confront the reality of spiritual heart disease—the true reason many people drift from faith. Drawing from Luke 7 and the story of the sinful woman with the alabaster jar, Pastor Joey contrasts empty religious routine with authentic, wholehearted devotion. While the Pharisee represents outward religion without intimacy, the woman models radical love by pouring out her most valuable possession at Jesus’ feet. The message emphasizes that Jesus is after our hearts above all else, and real transformation happens when we recognize the depth of our forgiveness and respond with complete surrender. “Breaking the jar” becomes a powerful metaphor for laying down everything—our pride, possessions, and reputation—to pursue a deep, passionate relationship with Jesus. This sermon calls Christians to move beyond half-hearted faith into bold, extravagant worship and total devotion to Christ.
