  • Letting Go Of Your Past
Here are ten things that will happen when you start to let go of your past:
    1. You will realize a new positive version of yourself. "I use memories, but I will not allow memories to use me." - Deepak Chopra
    2. You will make room for the new. "Some changes look negative on the surface, but you will soon realize that space is being created in your life for something new to emerge." - Eckhart Tolle
    3. You will handle new obstacles with grace. "The past should be a learning experience not an everlasting punishment. What's done is done." - Unknown
    4. You will learn to love yourself first.
    5. You will inspire others.
    6. You will grow closer to your destiny.
    7. You will naturally attract what you need. "Abundance is a process of letting go; that which is empty can receive." - Bryant H. McGill
    8. You will realize that YOU are really all you need. "You can only lose something that you have, but you cannot lose something that you are." - Eckhart Tolle
    9. You will grow in your empathy for others.
    10. You will know in your heart what is good for you. "Regret doesn't remind us that we did badly, it reminds us that we know that we could do better." - Kathryn Schultz
Go out there and be great, because great is calling you and great is calling me.

  • Day 12- Twas The Night Before Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there. The children were nestled all snug in their beds; while visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads. And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap, had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap. When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, tore open the shutters and threw up the sash. The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow, gave a luster of midday to objects below. When what to my wondering eyes did appear, but a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer.
With a little old driver so lively and quick, I knew in a moment he must be St. Nick. More rapid than eagles his coursers they came, and he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name: "Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now Prancer and Vixen! On, Comet! on, Cupid! on, Donner and Blitzen! To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall! Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"
As leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, when they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky; So up to the housetop the coursers they flew with the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too. And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof the prancing and pawing of each little hoof. As I drew in my head, and was turning around, down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound. He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot, and his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back, and he looked like a pedler just opening his pack. His eyes how they twinkled! his dimples, how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry! His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, and the beard on his chin was as white as the snow. The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, and the smoke, it encircled his head like a wreath. He had a broad face and a little round belly that shook when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly. He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, and I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself.
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread. He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, and filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk. And laying his finger aside of his nose, and giving a nod, up the chimney he rose. He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, and away they all flew like the down of a thistle. But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight, “Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”

  • Day 11- 7 Ways To Create And Capture Holiday Memories
We all know there’s no better time for memory-making than the holidays. So are some great ways to create great memories.
(1). Pick out a gift for a sibling: Opening gifts is a classic pic we’ve all seen, and love. Oh but what about picking out the actual gift? Picking out that special gift will make a great memory to look back on.
(2). Putting On Or Taking Off Winter Clothing. This is of course inspired by the hilarious scene in The Christmas Story movie. Helping your little ones get dressed for the cold weather may be a big job, BUT it will be an amazing thing to look back on when they are trying to get their kids dressed for the cold weather in 30 years.
(3). Go as a family to volunteer: There are a number of organizations, like the Robin Hood Foundation, that can help you and your get family involved with hands-on opportunities to help those in need. This is a perfect opportunity to record your family members and friends helping other people.
(4). Imagine 2022: The holidays are a great opportunity for family and friends, to talk about what their hopes and dreams are for the new year. These interviews are great to look back on, at the end of the year; to see how many of your goals you were able to achieve.
(5). Let your little ones “Read” a holiday story.  A big part of learning to read is pretending to read, and there is nothing cuter than when a little child begins to show off their reading “skills”. It’s important to encourage their efforts and taking a video of these efforts is a great way of doing this. Plus, it’s a cute memory to have as they grow older.
(6). Pick out some old toys or clothes to give away to those in need. This makes for a perfect opportunity to clean out the kid’s toy box and your closet. While you are sorting through things, think about the memories associate with each item.
(7). Capture your unique traditions: The thing that your kids want to remember most about the holidays is the unique way your family celebrates. What tradition is unique and special to your family?
