Ember Church Sunday Sermon

Do we really trust God? It’s actually easy to discover that as much as we hope we do, the likelihood is we really don’t. So what happens when we really do? Come & experience a really touching testimony and message on how to walk in trust.

How important is theology, really? What if it was so important that having your faith built on what is truly the rock, literally changes everything – your hopes, your joy, your excitement, everything! The journey God has us on takes yet another huge leap for mankind. Can’t wait to see you. More, can’t wait to see what He does with us!!!

How would you like to be utterly freed from everything that worries, bothers, keeps you in its grip? God is doing the most extraordinary things as we look carefully at the last things that Jesus did – the things that he most wanted us to get. This is one of those sermons that you really want to be there to experience in order to get its fullness. Can't wait!

Truth… there’s a concept that had undergone a severe beating over the last few years. But does that make truth any less true? Interestingly, it turns out that no matter what we do to truth, it stays just the same. And until we get that, we’re the ones that take the beating… You’re going to want to be there for this one. Plus, we’re doing something extremely important that you need to be there to participate in.

Nothing built on an earthly, manmade foundation lasts, but the one who is built on Christ lives forever. Come hear what Jesus has for us in Luke 20 about the joy of being built on His foundation!

Wow! The incredible thing the Lord has been doing since the beginning of September just keeps getting deeper, richer and more amazing. God led me to a great sermon this week, which would have been good all by itself. But as I continued to press in the Lord pulled back the curtain to show me an even deeper level that stunned me… The more I looked at it to see if it really was true the more He showed me what it means, and frankly I am overwhelmed… I really hope you get to experience this one.

Ever wanted, needed, pleaded, for something with everything in you and it didn’t happen? The good and proper theological answer is that God’s ways are higher than ours, and so we just have to trust him. But what if there is something wonderfully and beautifully beyond that? This is one you have to experience to get in full measure.

We read the story of Jesus cleansing the temple and feel like we are justified at getting angry, as long as we call it "righteous anger". But what if he's trying to communicate something quite different? What if he wants to use this to change you? Discover what Jesus was trying to teach the disciples about Jesus as King.

How much do you really trust God? How much do you worry, or are frustrated, or are upset? Maybe those two questions go together? Experience not just the message but something else that will be fun to see how much He is asking us to trust Him.

I heard a good one today. If you ask me how I am, on the surface, my head is above water, and though there are some waves, I am afloat. But under the surface, I am paddling like crazy and worse, have every reason to be freaked out by the sharks that appear all too ready to come up out of the deep, dark abyss and tear me apart. Sound anything like our world today? Let’s fight back with the most beautiful weapon God has given us, PRAYER!!!! Come expectant!!!
