I met today's guests at a conference in January and practically tackled them during the next break to get them on the podcast to talk about a topic that is fascinating, necessary, and not something we've discussed in depth on the show before - disrupting the education system. Gordy Bal and Philip Moore (who was mentored by Buckminster Fuller!!!), are collaborating to create Xploration Centre, a "wild school" that promotes loved based education. Now before you go rolling your eyes, listen to the show. They share how the current education is setting up children to be ill equipped to exist and thrive in a world where technology is developing at a more rapid pace than any other time in history. Phil schools us on "neoteny" and what that has to do with quality education and development for humans, to be unique, to help them learn and live in questions rather than trying to adhere to curriculums, exactness, and systems that are very exclusive to learning and personality styles. We talk about synergy, what it means to be a global citizen, and more. I don't know that I've ever been more excited about an interview. Enjoy!
About Gordy Bal and Phillip Moore: Gordy Bal - Alchemist and Visionary The Xploration Centre is what Gordy has been dreaming of for his own three sons. An education model that connects our children back to nature and prepares them for Xponential times. An education model that embraces entrepreneurial learning and sustainability in a natural environment. A space where young minds can discover their purpose and passion through Xploration and share their superpowers with the world to make it a better place.
Phillip Moore - Synergistic Guide and Educational Innovator Mentored by Buckminster Fuller, Phillip began teaching at Upland Hills Farm School in 1971. He was asked to become the director of the school in February of 1972 and served until June of 2013. During this 40-year period, Phil developed teams on the staff and board level to grow a learning community.
In this episode, Gordy and Phil share:
1. What it means to be a global citizen 2. What is "eros" and what does it have to do with modern education? 3. Culturing our youth through synergy and consciousness 4. Getting away from trying to "control" children through behavior modification and recognizing all we can stand to learn from them as adults

Money is always a hot topic that stirs up lots of post-show conversation when we get into it with guests so today I've got Jennifer Love, founder of One More Woman and mentor to entrepreneurs at all levels. Collectively, she has been involved in the raising of over $100+ million and over the past 20 years has built several successful companies from the ground up. This woman knows money. In our conversation we cover money as a currency tool to create impact, dealing with money shame, and my favorite part - how to put on your scientist cap to learn, discover, have fun with, and treat money as information. Enjoy!
About Jennifer Love:
Jennifer Love is the Chief Executive Navigator of One More Woman – a fast-track, high-performance educational and advisory company that helps entrepreneurs take the stress out of the money equation so they can effectively raise, make, manage, and give money.
She is a nationally-acclaimed mentor, international business strategist, speaker, and successful leader who has guided thousands of entrepreneurs to position their businesses for long-term, sustainable growth.
Jennifer ignites and charges the GPS system of every entrepreneur by showing them how to believe in themselves and by giving them the tools, support, and advice they need to get out there and make it happen. That makes all the difference – and is what truly sets her apart.
A Serial Entrepreneur…
Jennifer combines 17+ years’ experience building and working with consumer (CPG) brands. Collectively, she has raised, participated in, or advised in the raising of over $100+ million for her and her clients’ ventures.
Under Jennifer’s leadership as a co-founder and former CEO, NibMor went from a kitchen concept to an award-winning wholesale chocolate company, with its products distributed in thousands of locations within five years. NibMor’s impressive growth was acknowledged by The Wall Street Journal and found its way onto two of Oprah’s famed lists, among many others.
Jennifer’s ‘Sweet Success’ was featured on the cover of Small Business Digest in July 2014. In 2015, Jennifer helped one of the brands she advises get funded on Shark Tank, successfully closing out a $1.1M funding round.
On stage…
Jennifer is a motivating force with an uncanny ability to simplify complicated concepts with her own unique brand of pizazz and sense of humor. Audiences walk away empowered with a newfound enthusiasm and willingness to go beyond what they had ever thought possible.
People often describe Jennifer as brilliant, charismatic, passionate, articulate, resilient, and resourceful. She prides herself on delivering respectful, honest, and direct communication – mixed in with a little spunk!
She is beloved by clients because she gets results. As one client once said, “With Jennifer, the only possible outcome is success.”
Off stage…
On a given day, Jennifer may be found serving as a judge for events like Startup Weekend, on stage speaking to a variety of audiences, advising and educating communities of entrepreneurs on and off-line, advising a client behind the scenes of Biz Fix with Marcus Lemonis, meeting with community leaders and government officials, negotiating with investors, or training entrepreneurs on both mindset and tactical skills.
Jennifer is a contributing writer for the Huffington Post focusing on entrepreneurship, fundraising, and gender disparity in the investment community. She holds a Master’s in Organizational Behavior, a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and is a Certified Health Coach.
An eternal optimist who is also grounded in hard analytics, Jennifer adamantly believes that the future will be led by entrepreneurs that place as much importance on social impact as they do on financial health.
She lives in NYC with her adorable dog, Maggie, who also serves as the company mascot at One More Woman.
In this episode, Jennifer shares:
1. How our relationship to ourself will always reflect our relationship to money and vice versa
2. Closing deals
3. Radical reciprocity
4. Charging and asking for what you're worth
Today's conversation is a deep one about sex with Layla Martin (pun intended...I couldn't help myself!). Called "The Headmistress of Pleasure" by Women's Health Magazine, Layla spent years studying sexuality at both Stanford University & in the jungles of Asia with Tantric masters. We explored all the things in this chat. From sensuality, play and energetic fullness, to different types of orgasms, better understanding female anatomy, and sexual shame. Related to shame and all the emotions and triggers surrounding sex, we also discussed how our bodies are designed to heal and how sex is not just a pleasure path but a healing one as well. Listen to this one a few times, especially if any of these threads strike a cord for you and of course, let me know what you think!
About Layla Martin:
Layla Martin is the golden standard of holistic sexuality of the millennial generation -- teaching highly intelligent, successful and conscious audiences how to have epic sex and totally incredible relationships through a new approach to the body and intimacy. Her mission is healing and evolving people's conceptions of what sex and relationships truly are. Layla studied human sexuality at Stanford University and then moved to Asia where she worked extensively with Tantric masters for over seven years, mostly in the jungle. All in all, she's done over ten thousand hours of training in Tantra and sacred sexuality. Her approach is to take this deep wisdom, which is often overlooked because it is cloaked in overly hippy or new-agey language and design and make it highly accessible to young, modern, amazing people by making it entertaining and super fun. Layla brings her knowledge of ancient teachings, and seven years of extensive work with Tantric masters in Asia combined with her foundational education studying human sexuality at Stanford University to hundreds of thousands of people who are suffering from an approach to sex and relationships that has been shaped by hundreds and even thousands of years of old religious and social taboos around these topics that are no longer fully relevant to modern society and yet still play a large role in influencing how we approach love, sex and relationships.
In this episode, Layla shares:
1. Sex education for adults 2. Why cervical orgasms are Layla's favorite 3. How to navigate crying during sex from both partners' perspectives 4. Sexual shame for men and women

Plot twist! For the first time in show history we had a scheduling mishap and had to call an audible. For today's episode I'm flying solo and diving into the topic of break ups. Since my most recent one, a handful of my friends have been seriously encouraging me to write a book called, "How to Break Up Like A Boss," which I'm not going to do, but the reason why is the reason for this podcast episode today. They watched how I took the energy that was going into the relationship and put it into things that were not only important to me for my own healing afterwards, but have helped propel my life, my work and my mission forward tremendously over the last few months. In this episode I cover how to grieve the loss regardless of whose choice it was, how to reclaim the energy that's not longer going into the relationship for yourself, how and when to extract the lessons from the relationship, taking your time, not beating yourself up, and what boundaries are important to have in place to protect and honor your healing. Please share this with anyone you know could use it right now. Break ups are tender times, but they're also ripe with opportunity for growth. I hope my own lessons, learnings, and practices can help.
Big Love, E
