Happy valentines day! Let’s talk about fear...bet you thought I was going to say love, didn’t you!?!? We will get there:)
I want you to think about your parenting. Maybe think of the last thing you said to your child. Was it based in fear, or love?
When I come from fear, my kid KNOWS. When I come from love, my kid KNOWS.
Love emits trust and confidence in the relationship.
Fear emits worry and concern and guilt-before anything even happens.
Fear tells our children that they aren’t safe. Fear tells them that if they make a mistake, I’m the last one they should turn to. Fear is a con artist. It sneaks in and laces our really good intentions with dark clouds and unintended words.
What emotion do you want to operate from?
