I share my personal experiences of clients ghosting after receiving proposals and how clear communication and honesty in business relationships can avoid such situations.

I stress the need to treat people the way you want to be treated to build long-lasting business relationships. And also discuss the importance of setting high standards for client relationships and treating potential clients with the same level of service as paying clients to establish a relationship of integrity.

I’m talking about a moment that I could easily write off as insignificant because it didn’t feel big, but it was truly significant because it has now become a vital element of my brand.

I decided to share about a breathwork experience that I had with my friend, Lauren Marks, and what came through for me during that moment.

Laura and Emily share their stories from motherhood and business about how they learned to set boundaries, often the hard way, and that doing so created a better lifestyle. Boundaries often require a level of communication with others and confidence in yourself, which then gives you the opportunity to respect the other person as well as yourself.

Emily talks about how she shifted from her career in nursing to empowering moms in her town and beyond. With the coaching, events (her first in-person event happened this year and had over 100 women in attendance!) and programs she is doing to help moms, Emily is reframing the feelings we have that challenge us, keep us stuck and powerless in our lives into opportunities for growth and the ability to live our best lives.

She has a program starting December 1st called More Than Mom, which is a 12-week program for moms to work through and uncover the mindsets that have been keeping them stuck so that they can change them into freedom giving opportunities for improvement. In this episode, Laura talked with Tiffany Leader, a clinical social worker and burnout coach. They discussed the normalization of burnout in society and the importance of self-care in preventing it. Tiffany highlighted the importance of sleep and mindset work in addressing burnout, using the outcome formula to help clients break the cycle.

They also discussed the benefits of incorporating joy and grounding techniques in daily life, such as taking breaks and being in nature. Laura and Tiffany emphasized the need to be present in the moment and focus on our senses to regulate our nervous system and release tension. They concluded by encouraging listeners to prioritize mental health and self-care to prevent burnout.

In addition, Laura and Tiffany shared their personal experiences with burnout and the strategies they use to prevent it. They emphasized the need to take control of one's time and become aware of the body's needs, breaking habit loops and categorizing thoughts to determine which ones are serving you. They both agreed that self-care is a lifelong journey and requires constant adjustment to prevent falling back into unhealthy habits.

Being in a good state within yourself, including confidence, feeling capable, and feeling like this is the right thing for your is such an amazing feeling because it actually empowers you to move forward doing what is the best thing for you. I realized that no matter how much strategy I learned form various business, I lacked the alignment to truly move forward in a way that I could sustain. So, now I take a much different approach. I work to be in alignment first, having the right conditions to play on my strengths first then choosing a strategy that works with that. I think the same approach can be powerful for you, especially if you haven't had much success sticking with strategy only.
