Topic: IT'S TIME TO SIT DOWN (Part 2)!

Memory Verse: "And Jesus said, 'Make the men sit down'..."  ~ John 6: 10A KJV

Bible Text: Isaiah 30:15 AMPC

15. For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning [to Me] and resting [in Me] you shall be saved; in quietness and in [trusting] confidence shall be your strength. But you would not,

INSPIRATION: God says, "In returning [to Me] and resting [in Me] you shall be saved; ..." (Isa. 30:15A). It's not that hard. You only prove your return to God by sitting down. Some people return in principle but not in practice. Others admire the principles of Christ but the practice of His teaching is alien to them. He says, "In quietness and in [trusting] confidence shall be your strength" (Isaiah 30:15B).

Trusting God when your mind is agitated and unstable doesn't come easily. If you're unstable in mind, do not expect to receive anything from God (James 1:6-8). Life is not as hard as we make it seem when we recognise God as our source and rest in the confidence that he can make it right. The men Jesus asked to make sit down were faced with a dilemma: hunger loomed but they had no solution to it. But the One who asked them to sit knew what He'd do (John 6: 6). Sitting with Him, stretches your faith as you see Him solve your problems so you can always believe in God for anything.

Again, Jesus's statement, 'Make the men sit down' (John 6: 10A) connotes some kind of mentorship. When mentees sit to be instructed, a kind of solid relationship and bonding exists between the mentees and their mentor. It allows the mentor to unburden his heart and reveal secrets that are needed to advance the mentee's cause. Who are your mentors and how close are you to them to enable you learn their winning secrets? Are you teachable?

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Do not allow your mind wander away from God. Work at getting more intimate with Him. Be willing to be instructed, mentored and guided if fulfilling destiny is a priority.

PRAYER: O Lord, please help me to keep my mind on You, so I can enjoy a stable life that's free from agitation. Help me to value and prioritise mentorship, in Jesus name.

Topic: IT'S TIME TO SIT DOWN!

INSPIRATION: Often, we worry about things we have no control over or solutions to, whereas, God expects us to sit down! Sit at his feet; relax in your trust in Him. He'll make good what He begun. Stop pacing about and worrying over things beyond your control. Just sit at His feet like Mary did (Luke 10: 39) and receive His instructions! I have known a bit of God to worry about fixing what only He can fix.

There's a critical need for us to return to God, trusting absolutely in Him. Partial trust equals no trust. You cannot rest in God until your trust is absolute! Jesus said, "Make the peeple sit down." This simple instruction wasn't for them to abandon their responsibility but to handover control of what seems bigger than them to God. Miracles happen where our faculties, abilities and skills fail. When no one had a solution, Jesus offered one!

But to witness His miracle, they must sit down! Their minds must be stayed on Him (Isaiah 26:3), and not on their situation!! Are you sitting down where God's word can change things speedily you? Are you maximising your privilege to rest in God's love, knowing He'll not fail? Do you often feel so encumbered by life's pressure? It's time to sit down. You need an update on your operational manual. Sit down with God and get instructed. Take a break from your activities and get redirection. Let Jesus lead so you can enjoy His rest.

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Learn to sit down and not be agitated by life's struggles. Pressure will mount, but wisdom is knowing when to retreat and just sit down with the Master. Refreshing and insightful moments are best recorded when you sit down with Jesus.

PRAYER: O Lord, please help me to fix my mind on You; to sit where You bid me sit, and to take divine instructions. Make my response to always be like Peter's, "Nevertheless, at thy word, I will...," and whenever I do, may miracles happen, in Jesus name.

Topic: PERSPECTIVE TO PRAYER (Part 4)!

Memory Verse: "Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified" - Isaiah 43:26 KJV

Bible Text: Mark 11:24 KJV

24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

INSPIRATION: Another very significant, yet intriguing part of prayer is that it reveals and introduces you to yourself. You think you know yourself well, right? No you don't! When you pray in an honest manner, and allow the Holy Spirit to search all things (1 Corinthians 2:10), the kind of things He'd search out and reveal about you would shock you. The Holy Spirit will literally reintroduce you to yourself.

I'm not sure you're ready for this conversation yet, but that's the point where great men are made. God says, "Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand)" (Jeremiah 33:3). Right within you are so much, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know, yet they matter to your assignment on earth.

What prayer does is to align you with God's Spirit, where hidden secrets about you can be revealed. This comes with a lot of perseverance, self discipline, and sacrifices. It would take a lot from you but overall, it would profit you. This realm is the furnace where outstanding destinies are forged from the burning coals that come with those revelations. Here, you'll find clarity to vagueness, light to darkness and meaning to meaninglessness. This place truly, is where every believer should aspire to be in when we pray.

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Do you really know yourself and what you could do or accomplish? Do you have a full grasp of why you're on earth? Whilst you may think you do, prayer will reveal some aspects of your life that you never knew exist. So, pray and turn on the searchlight!

PRAYER: O Lord, please reveal the real me to myself. Expose hidden secrets and all that pertains to my destiny; grant me the grace to rise to the occasion of these new discoveries to Your own glory, in Jesus name

Topic: PERSPECTIVE TO PRAYER (Part 3)!

Memory Verse: "Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified" - Isaiah 43:26 KJV

Bible Text: Mark 11:24 KJV

24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

INSPIRATION: When God says, "Put Me in remembrance," it doesn't mean He is  forgetful. Never! He only expects you to apply your knowledge of the Scriptures in dealing with particular situations. Exodus 23:25 says, "So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you." Yet sickness came upon Hezekiah and with it was a death sentence.

What did Hezekiah do? He reminded God of His faithful services and God healed and gifted him fifteen years more to live (2 Kings. 20:1-6). God cannot go back on His Word. This principle applied so well with Hezekiah and it still works wonders till now. Prayer ties God to His Word, it produces the legal framework that commits God to action. This underlies the meaning of producing your strong reasons (Isaiah 41:21).

How badly do you want a response from God? I should like to think Jesus brought forth His strong reasons each time He prayed. So it may not be that His prayers were answered because He's God but because He applied scriptural principles. Prayer is a function of using the right keys to unlock doors. Do you believe in God's word? Do you see yourself living and manifesting the realities as contained in scriptures? If you do, then engage God with His promises and see what happens.

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Prayer is not merely in the words we say, but an application of scriptural keys that has the potential to unlock great destinies. What scriptures do you know that you can apply to get results like Hezekiah and Jesus?

PRAYER: O Lord, I receive grace to know how to use the right scriptural keys to open great doors. My destiny is on course because of this knowledge. Thank you, Father, in Jesus name

Topic: PERSPECTIVES TO PRAYERS (Part 2)!

INSPIRATION: It would shock you that many believers do not know why they pray. It's more of a religious obligation for them. As such, when they pray, they may not put their hearts into it or they keep asking God to change and fix things. Whilst the latter is not out of place, God would rather He fixes and changes you first before changing the things you pray to Him about. Fixing you is critical to your destiny and His purposes than fixing things.

Do not box God into fixing things like He's some handyman; allow Him fix you, others would fall in line. To fix you, your prayer and thoughts must align to His will and His word. Prayer aligns our spirit with the Holy Spirit. It redirects our attention away from us back to Him. Prayer brings you into the centre of God's will, helps you know the mind of God, so you can speak mysteries from a standpoint of an insider.

Once you align in the spirit, God's anointing begins to flow with such pressured intensity that it triggers miracles. Once you align with the Holy Spirit, prayer enriches you with the backing of all the resources of heaven. Prayer alignment positions you as a judge over Satan and his activities. It gives you legislative jurisdiction to enforce God's will while also helping you to boldly legislate in matters beyond this realm. Prayer is a vehicle to uncovering mysteries in the kingdom.

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Never mistake the fact that God's love is best demonstrated by His desire to change you and fit you into alignment with His plans. One instrument He uses to achieve this, is you having a healthy prayer life.

PRAYER: O Lord, if You will, please change me from deep within and cause me to fall into alignment with Your plans and purposes for my life, in Jesus name.

Topic: PERSPECTIVES TO PRAYERS!

24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

INSPIRATION: There're two answers to prayer we hate to get when we pray, but they test and confirms our maturity as believers who are in alignment in our walk with God. There are:

1. No, it's not now. Wait.
2. No. It's not for you.

Please, when you hear these in your prayer closet, don't bother rebuking the devil. It ain't no devil speaking to you, PLEASE.

Prayer is not always like a child asking for snacks. Stop throwing tantrums when you dont get answers the way you want them. Pray until you feel a release; pray until you hear Him speak; then pray again (1 Kings 18: 42-45)! Do not pray only when there's trouble (1 Thessalonians 5:17). You'll lose more grounds when your prayer life becomes a boring periodic labour instead of a daily lifestyle that is powered and inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Prayer is more spiritual than physical. It has rules and techniques of engagement, if you must get results. Prayer is a spiritual transaction; exchanges take place as you produce your cause and bring forth your strong reasons (Isaiah 41: 21). This is God's prerequisite for your justification (Isaiah 43: 26). Your justification occurs when you speak back scriptures to God that aligns with His purposes for your life at that point in time. So discernment is key!

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

God is committed to answering prayers, but result-oriented prayers must follow specific patterns outlined by God. Learn the requirements and how answers come, so you can have dominion while praying.

PRAYER: O Lord, teach me how to pray like you taught your disciples. Reveal the techniques and rules to engage to have my prayers answered, in Jesus name.

Topic: PUT YOUR ANGELS TO WORK (Part 4)!

Memory Verse: "The Test was over. The Devil left. And in his place, angels! Angels came and took care of Jesus’ needs" - Matthew 4:11 MSG

Bible Text: Hebrews 1:14 TPT

14. What role then, do the angels have? The angels are spirit-messengers sent by God to serve those who are going to be saved.

INSPIRATION: Today, we shall look at a very crucial aspect of angelic assignment. Although, they're spirit beings, they can be seen by humans (Genesis 18:2), and you can regulate their operations when you send them on errands. This is not only for pulpit ministers but a reality and privilege every believer can enjoy. Today's believer must desire to operate at this level since there're so many advantages associated with it.

Some of the advantages are that it makes for ease of ministry and overall activities, removes fruitless struggles and delivers results that looks too impossible for human comprehension. Very strange miraculous acts occur when angels swing into action. It is usually an electrifying atmosphere where nothing hinders the moves of the Spirit. When angels back your activities, they take over the wheels of control and ensure God’s plans take executive priority over yours. They superimpose God's will on yours and enforce its performance to the latter.

Angelic manifestation is characterised usually by an outstretch of God's arms that births the miraculous (Acts. 4:30). Under this atmosphere, nothing stays the same. This may look like some fairytales in outlook but in reality, its significance is massively impactful. Angels excel in strength and when they bring their strength to bear in human activities, the results are usually beyond imagination. For instance, it took the angel of the Lord one night to slay one hundred and eighty-five thousand people (2 Kings 19: 35). What a show of strength!

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Develop your intimacy with God and be intentionally more spiritually sensitivity to be able to access realms where angels operate from. Desire this reality.

PRAYER: O Lord, my desire is to operate at a deeper intimate level with You, where I can witness the strange operational acts of Your angelic beings in my life, in Jesus name.
