Topic: THE GAME CHANGER!

Memory Verse: "(As it is written, 'I have made you a father of many nations') in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did" - Romans 4:17 NKJV

Bible Text: 2 Kings 4:26 KJV

26. Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well.

INSPIRATION: Every good and versatile coach studies their game very well and know when to introduce the game-changer in his team that helps them secure the win! As it applies to sporting events, so it does with every other human enterprise, including our faith walk. Unless and until you introduce the deciding factor to the game of your life, nothing changes. You'd just remain at the losing end all your life.

Our bible text presents a fascinating story that gives credence to the above assertion! Was all truly well with this woman and her child? Not at all. Did she lie when she said all was well? That would be a rational conclusion. BUT, she was speaking the end in view, not the situation at present. She called what wasn't as if it were and it became (Romans 4: 17). Hallelujah!

When you speak faith in the face of gloom, you're not being irrational; you're simply introducing the game changer because you understand the dynamics of the Spirit, where faith is the leveler of mountains. So, speak peace over your storm; speak joy over sorrow; speak health over sickness; speak abundance over lack; favour and acceptance over rejection; success over failure. Let faith govern your heart and frame the reality you desire over what is!

Declare your end into reality today! Speak faith and not fear!!

PRAYER: O Lord, please deliver me from idle and careless talk; teach me how to say the right things that are backed up in faith and scriptures, in Jesus name.

Topic: THE MAKING OF GREAT MEN (Part 2)!

Memory Verse: Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men” - Matthew 4:19 NKJV

Bible Text: John 15:4‭-‬5 NKJV

4. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

INSPIRATION: Jesus gives us a divine template for how great people are made: He said to follow Him (Matt. 4:19). No one can follow Jesus except they take up His yoke and learn of Him (Matt. 11:29). That is, simply join your life with His, and learn His ways. But you cannot join your life to His or learn His ways unless you first get to be crucified with Him, where you no longer live by the dictates of your flesh but by the inspiration of His Holy Spirit (Gal. 2: 20; Gal. 5: 16).

To follow Jesus is to deny yourself; it is to let go of your leaning to take on His Spirit, teaching, principles and lifestyle. Following Jesus demands huge sacrifices on our part. Taking His yoke and learning of Him looks easy on the surface, but it would pull a lot out of you and deposit so much more within you. Even on a circular stance, anyone who desires to amount to any good in any field of human endeavour has to lean the ropes. Learning the ropes involves meticulous following that enables you study the processes at various levels.

Taking up the Lord's burdens is not for the fainthearted or those who've not covenanted their lives to Him. But the rewards far outweighs the sacrifices. He said, “Follow Me, and I will MAKE YOU..." (Matt. 4:19). He confidently knows and assures us that man can only be made using this divine template. It is either Jesus makes you or you're marred. "If God’s grace doesn’t help the builders, they will labor in vain to build a house..." (Ps 127:1 TPT).

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Following is not necessarily physical but your ability to drink in and assimilate the spirit behind all the person embodies. Don't force it else you'll break in pieces. Simply obey and follow Jesus, if you want to be made. "If God’s grace doesn’t help the builders, they will labor in vain to build a house. If God’s mercy doesn’t protect the city, all the sentries will circle it in vain" (Psalms 127:1 TPT)

PRAYER: O Lord, please give me the wisdom to follow You and the patience to follow through on processes that could guarantee me evolving into greatness in Jesus name.

Topic: WISDOM THAT WORKS - BUILDING A STEADFAST LIFE(Part 2)!

Memory Verse: "Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding" - Proverbs 4:7 NKJV

Bible Text: Proverbs 24:3‭-‬4 AMPC

3. Through skillful and godly Wisdom is a house (a life, a home, a family) built, and by understanding it is established [on a sound and good foundation],
4. And by knowledge shall its chambers [of every area] be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

INSPIRATION: Life will test you on all scores, take you through rough storms and make you face fierce battles in your life's journey, and in such moments, the stuff you're made of would surface. It is wisdom that would ensure your ship doesn't sink when life's storm hits you hard. Wisdom is the compass that helps you navigate difficult terrains.

Wisdom teaches you how to put your best foot forward and how or when to refrain from certain course of action. Wisdom deploys objective pragmatism to analyse situations critically. Wisdom is a must have if you aim to win and be distinguished in life. When you lack wisdom, you'd be at the mercy of all kinds of manipulative suggestions that may seem good at the surface but are death traps in disguise.

Wisdom would lead you in the path of peace, help you to see evil and guide you to depart from it. It would help you to hallow what God hallows and instruct you to detest whatever He detests. Wisdom helps you to process knowledge to your level of understanding so you can get established (Prov. 4:17; 24:3).

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

The absence of wisdom is a recipe for disaster, because it elongates your stay in your storm. The absence of wisdom would make you buy into all manner of bondage, lie and manipulation.

PRAYER: O Lord, please teach and grant me the wisdom that builds and establishes one firmly on the right path. Teach me to embrace Your wisdom that would help me stay afloat when life's tests hit me hard, in Jesus name.

Topic: WISDOM AT WORK!

INSPIRATION: Wisdom is a genuine tool for building one's life, home, family, career, business, relationship, partnership, etc. Be it acquired (skillful) or divinely inputted, wisdom is a builder of man's enterprise if used rightly. It follows therefore that it can be wrongfully deployed too, in which case, it'd destroy you. Wisdom is simply defined as the right application of knowledge. You're unwise when you fail to apply what you know. Therefore, knowledge is nothing until it is used the right way.

Knowledge is not to be reserved like a souvenir; it is to be deployed creatively in  ways that it exchanges value for you. How wise can a man be who learned a skill for years but can't exchange same for value? Value here, could either be in its impact on others, self or monetary gains to self. Your chambers would be empty of precious and pleasant riches when you fail to diligently and dutifully deploy your skillful and godly wisdom. The responsibility rests squarely on your shoulders to make a living out of your knowledge.

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Wisdom is knowing how to navigate and negotiate choices that benefit not just self but promote the good and wellbeing of others. Wisdom is knowledge rightly used.

PRAYER: O Lord, please teach and grant me the wisdom that builds and establishes one firmly. Release grace upon me so I can deploy my knowledge in skillful and godly ventures that would yield great profit to Your glory, in Jesus name.

Topic: THE DYNAMICS OF LIGHT (Part 4)!

Memory Verse: "Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light" - Genesis 1:3 NKJV

Bible Text: 2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV

18. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

INSPIRATION: Reflecting the image of Christ is a progressive action aimed at moving believers from one level of glory to another. It takes light to have a reflection. When the light is beamed on Jesus and we look steadfastly in His direction, our lives take on the image we see. The more we stay focused on Jesus Christ, the more we transform into the reflection that we see. This explains why two people may become saved and born again on the same day in a church but their growth level will vary. You cannot grow beyond how you expose yourself to His light. 

When light beams on an image, it casts a shadow at the other end. Allow the light of Christ to beam on you so you can reflect the perfect image of His person. On a flip side, sick people were healed as Peter's shadow fell on them (Acts 5:15-16). There is nothing supernatural about his shadow other than the fact that he has had a great personal relationship with Christ that the glory of Christ was reflecting through him. You too can manifest great graces in Christ when you allow His light to leave a burning imprint in your heart and spirit. This is the essence of our Christian walk.

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Make it a daily duty to expose yourself to the light and person of Jesus Christ, reflect and beam the image of Him you see, and everything in and around you would progressively change.

PRAYER: O Lord, please may my daily encounters with You be transformationally engaging in its entirety until all of me reflects all of You, in Jesus name.

Topic: THE DYNAMICS OF LIGHT (Part 3)!

Memory Verse: "Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light" - Genesis 1:3 NKJV

Bible Text: Matthew 5:14‭-‬15 NKJV

14. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.

INSPIRATION: Light gives visibility. No matter how thick the darkness is, a spark of light is easily recognisable. The impact of such a spark of light can overwhelm the surrounding darkness. Darkness cannot hide light, no matter how hard it tries! Have you ever wondered why a brilliant idea trumps all others? The amount of light concentrated in it has the capacity to dislodge the darkness around the matter.

You're light to the world. You're set apart up high where you cannot hide. Try as hard as you may to hide yourself, something in your silence, your carriage or your poise would give you out. Light doesn't explain itself, it just shines! It gives light to all who are around. The idea your world needs to standout; your team's inspiration; the direction someone needs; the hope, etc, should come from you. That is why you're on their lampstand.

There's so much darkness, confusion and trouble in the world today because believers have refused to beam their light. But it's time to flip the switch on! It's about time to turn on your light wherever you are, and ensure darkness doesn't have a foothold there. No more shall you be put under the basket; no more shall you be obscured and relegated. Shine as light!

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

The only response to darkness is to turn on your light and it would flee! Ignorance reigns where knowledgeable men keep quiet. Infiltrate your world with your light daily until you dislodge the darkness around.

PRAYER: O Lord, cause me to know and take my place as light wherever I go. May I be the spark that triggers inspiration, bring illumination and transformation everywhere through Your light within me, in Jesus name.

Topic: THE DYNAMICS OF LIGHT!

2. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

INSPIRATION: Going back to the creation story, we see vividly the dynamics of light and its robust positive effect on creation. Firstly, the earth had no form and it was empty. Then, darkness pervaded the entire space. These and many more are notable fallouts of the absence of light. Where light is absent, everything looks vague, empty, formless; confusion, lack in understanding, disorderliness and absence of direction becomes more evident. People stumble and make uninformed decisions that hurts them whenever light is absent.

Light brings illumination, beauty, and inspiration. It points you in the right path, and reveals or unveils danger ahead; light makes clear grey areas, and facilitates our understanding. It dispels darkness, reveals hidden treasures and guides your usage of your discovery unto profiting. Jesus said no man works in the dark. Darkness limits us but light takes off all such limitations. Light empowers you to make very rightly informed choices, helps you see beyond the veil of deception. With enough light, you'll be able to add structure to your formless and empty world.

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Whenever and wherever you experience formlessness, emptiness and darkness in your life, introduce light. Stir up and spark up enough light to dispel your darkness.

PRAYER: O Lord, please give me the grace to release a compelling amount of light into every dark area of my life, in Jesus name.

He makes us fit into that perfect frame that best suits our purpose. Knowing this will take away a lot of our self efforts, especially, in the wrong direction.

Topic: THE MAKING OF GREAT MEN!

INSPIRATION: Having successfully detailed the dichotomy between a broke and broken person with several examples, we shall now focus on the making of great men. Greatness in God's kingdom and in life generally begins with what you're willing to learn, do or forgo. Jesus prescribes what is required of us: firstly, follow Him; secondly, abide in Him and He in us. You cannot abide in whom you've not followed. You cannot gain mastery of a process, system or its structure, if you've not dutifully followed its prescribed rules. All great institutions are products of processes.

Your journey starts with following. The more you follow closely, the deeper you understand the need to abide until you're grounded enough to bear much fruits. Your fruits are a testament as to how made you are. That's God's measuring yardstick. So if you claim to be great, the verifying proof would be your fruits. Fruitfulness happens when the right knowledge is deployed. You can't acquire the skills and knowledge to be fruitful from 'afar;' you've to follow very closely. You have to either abide or remain incapable of doing nothing.

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Skyscrapers do not just emerge. For whatever you do, follow due processes if you want to be made. More importantly, follow and abide in Jesus to guarantee your fruitfulness.

PRAYER: O Lord, please give me the wisdom to follow You and the patience to follow through on processes that could guarantee me emerging and evolving into greatness, in Jesus name.
