In this conversation, Jodie speaks about the organisation’s 2025-2027 strategic plan which was launched earlier this month at Federal Parliament House in Canberra. The plan outlines KAWC’s commitment to women’s leadership, grassroots empowerment, cultural security, and systems reform, with a strong focus on strengthening the Aboriginal community-controlled sector, fostering self-determination and advancing Closing the Gap priorities. It also highlights key initiatives designed to create long-term social, cultural, and economic benefits for Aboriginal women and their communities.
