I am tired today and am not sure what even to talk about. So we will talk about random distractions and use some memes to find something to amuse us.

I went to the protest in Covington GA today and wasn't sure what I expected to see. Sometimes in life, you go somewhere because there is an unknown opportunity waiting for you. I had one of the most honest conversations I have ever had ever. And this one was with perfect strangers which by nature does not lend itself to open and free discourse. I take a few minutes to explain the lead-up, and then you get 40 minutes or so of unedited raw conversation that I believe was important. Understand that you will hear raw feelings, misunderstandings, and disagreements but that we all had one intent - to converse as best we could and to listen as best we could. Please listen with an open mind.
Today's Topic Tuesday is about scene safety. I thought with everything going on in the world maybe we should understand what scene safety really is.
On today's underground I will be calling BS on motivation. Mainly the sayings and graphics that I am seeing when I look for EMS Motivation. I am aiming to break some bad mindsets and hopefully replace it with a healthier way to think and be.
Its EMS week this week and today is safety day. So the topic for this Tuesday is safety and COVID-19 updates from DPH.
During a Topic Tuesday I was harping on using your words and explaining everything to patients. A person in the chat said but sometimes the words we use are scary. So today I decided to talk about how we use our words and what it reveals about ourselves.
On today's Topic Tuesday I will be talking about getting refusals. I believe there is a lack of understanding throughout our field on the importance of documentation and what a refusal really entails.
Today I am some of the funniest EMS stories I can find on the web to inspire us to share our own. Type into the live chat. Or after the broadcast share your story here in comments or via email: [email protected]
In today's episode I take some talking points from the chat room. We start talking about what essential is and then dive into the abuse of employees vs times are tough. This leads to a discussion of gratitude and being appreciated. Being appreciated is different than feeling appreciated. Bouncing back and forth from talking and chatting live I end up discussing PPE. I use Chic-Fil-A drive through as an example of how improper use of PPE can have the intended effect of calming people down. And sometimes all we need is to achieve a goal instead of actually protecting anything.
This is simply a drive by check up on my people in the field. I am giving words of encouragement, checking on how the world looks from the dash of the ambulance, and trying to bring some reality into talking about covid-19. I also end with Essential vs non-essential and how we need to stop complaining and look at the positives that we have in our lives.
