Company loyalty is a fine line. Yes, you should always do your best job you can do But sometimes loyalty means stagnation and it's not always reciprocated. Your priorities should be just like the rules of EMS. Protect yourself first is scene safe protective equipment. Protect your interests first is to make sure you are getting what you want out of your career and being honest about your expectations in working for your employer.

This is the unedited audio from the Ad-Hoc meeting to review Grady's performance in South Fulton county. It was recorded from a distance and isn't the best quality but you can hear most of it clearly. So now it's up to you to listen and ask the questions that are unanswered and make up your own mind. As always we support the medics in the field and want to make a better work environment for them and a better service for the citizens.

It seems that our industry/profession tends too be very negative and distrusting. Even worse is we tend to form opinions and speak on things that we know nothing about. Today I am asking the question why are we this way and how do we change it? As we do the topic will stray into things you say on scene, opinions about medical staff, and other areas. So I ask you what is one thing you formed an opinion on without knowing anything about it? We will take your answers and seek new ones today.

This week I went to a follow-up instructor update for the new system like the one in Savannah and low and behold there were changes in communicating ideas. I will relay what I found out there and then today I was at the Region 3 EMS Council meeting and will give updates on Dekalb County and Grady in South Fulton. Plus your comments will be heard!

In todays society we expect to have an ambulance when we end it. I’m talking about service and not run times. So if one service leaves we expect another one to fill in the gap. But what happens when a service goes under and no one is there to catch the fall out? This happens beyond 911. It happens in non-emergency services, event services, fire departments, and even police departments. Today we will be talking about the warning signs and what you should to do.
