Because of this, many parents are reaching for “natural” remedies without knowing the efficacy and side effects. For example, many of these medicines have a form of honey. Honey in any form shouldn’t be given to children under one year of age. Here are some potential remedies: Cold: saline spray, steam or menthol inhalant for the sinuses Car sickness: ventilation, breaks and ginger Restlessness: chamomile Keep in mind, these recommended remedies should be discussed with your pediatrician.
