In this narrative, Dr. Carrie Bernard realises that, despite many obstacles including stigma, disclosing her mental illness was ultimately the best decision for her. Dr. Bernard is a family doctor in Brampton, Ontario, assistant clinical professor at McMaster University, and assistant professor at the University of Toronto.
