On today's episode we discuss the importance of time in life – or perhaps the waste of time. How long should you be talking to someone before meeting them? A week? 2 weeks? 3 weeks? It's difficult to quantify the importance of time as it is so individual to each person. For some of us (like me) I prefer meeting the person first to see if there is chemistry...for others (like Mr Red) he likes to build a bond through conversation before meeting the person. Am I just too shallow? Is he just too focused on personality? At the end of the day, we're both single so what do we really know???

The world is changing, women are working longer, harder, and having babies later. But that clock never stops ticking, so for some, have a baby and get back to work, sooo what then? Well well well, lovers and friends, covid means that sometimes we have to record over the internet and thus this episode with my dear friend S has some static and feedback. Haha apologies, but hopefully once you start listening it's not that difficult.

Anyway, so with all the ups and downs with dating, first dates can always be quite tricky. There are a lot of nerves, a lot of contemplation, a lot of preparation... so when you get catfished, that can be somewhat annoying, but you know what's worse??? So much worse??? Getting stood up!!! Ugh, sigh, and several curse words later, here is my issue with getting stood up. Listen and weep with me.

I am recording this episode with one of my closest friends S, and she knows me very well and I call her my personal cheerleader, and it was so much fun doing so. It's really more of a catch-up conversation vs an actual podcast. But I remember way back when I used to say that I would never date a guy with kids. And I think my stereotypes and my own negative connotations prevented me from doing so....meeting a well-educated, hard-working, kind, romantic, attractive and engaging father (of 3) has really changed my perspective on dating men with kids. So this doesn't mean he is the one or that we are living happily ever after, but he has definitely opened up my eyes and mind to dating men with children.

Ok here's the deal, relationships are at the core of everything, and us single folk, are going on a lot of dates trying to figure this out. We are using dating apps, going on blind dates, getting set up, sliding into DMs, and then some. 500 dates later, you better believe we have a few stories to tell.
