Endless Metal Podcast - We're constantly listening to metal in all its glorious forms !

Neurosis is the most influential metal band for understanding the present. Ben reflects on why he believes that and, in part 2, why he thinks Neurosis’s recent records are their best

This epsode plumbs no organized themes...Yeah we may get back to funeral doom...But I hope doesn't happen in an obvious way....Talking to kindred spirits about metal may lead somewhere or not...Here Ben and Jono talk about a lot of bands but one theme that emerges that is the touch stone for this episode is how metal that rejects irony seems to connect most with our raw (hardened) hearts...Music excerpts from The Dillinger Escape Plan, Enslaved, Morphine, and Bell Witch pour forth...A little stoic philosophy sprinkled in as well...

Adam Kalmbach aka Jute Gyte makes impossible metal that is heavy as it is sonically jaw dropping. https://jutegyte.bandcamp.com http://www.invisibleoranges.com/trial-error-an-interview-with-jute-gyte/

Ben sits with jaw on ground. It’s only February and he may just have heard his favorite record of 2018: Ossuarium Silhouettes Unhallowed by Hooded Menace. The 5th record by the Finnish death doom masters...Absolutely mindblowing....To hear accompanying tracks get the Anchor Radio App and buy the record: https://hoodedmenace.bandcamp.com

“The Hammer” responded to Ben’s request with many incredible releases in 2018!!! So in our first update we hear from the doomy masterpiece “Slowgod Ii” by Grajo. Reminded of another greatly doom band from Spain, Ben also adds a couple of great ones from the sadly departed Horn of the Rhino!!
