Your mindset (thoughts) can be your greatest asset.
Or your mindset and thoughts can become an insurmountable barrier that will stop your progress toward your goals. Which will they be for you? I’m asking you. You choose. When Discouraged Remember:
If you’re tired, I understand.
Exhausted, I can relate because I’ve been there.
Feel like you’re running on empty? Been there.
That’s not to belittle the challenge of being tired at all.
When you’re tired, REST!
Resting a little and doing what you need for your body can be a great thing. Do what you need. Your health is needed for you to hit your goals and enjoy life.
Just don’t quit. Quitting is different than resting. Quitting will not get you what you want.

Your words are powerful. Not just the words you tell other people. What you tell yourself is also very powerful.
If you tell yourself the same thing over and over again, you’ll end up believing it. Want to give up? Quit? Not hit your goal? Just tell yourself enough times that you won’t succeed and that your goals are impossible.
It sounds kind of dumb when I say it out loud. But, plenty of people make that mistake and wonder why they aren’t making any progress despite all the effort they put it.
I don’t care if this sounds a little hokey. Encourage yourself. Tell yourself what you need to hear to keep taking steps toward your goal.
Listen to the episode and hear some of the things I tell myself to keep me moving forward, making progress, and hitting goals.

What you choose to do with your time is most important. All you have is your time.
Yes, you may have family, money, possessions, and thoughts. But, how you choose to spend your time will impact EVERYTHING you have.
I recently lost a very good friend of mine. It was so unexpected. And painful.
What I want to tell you is make the most of your time. What you choose to do counts. We never know how much time we have. If there is a goal you want to accomplish strive toward it. Is there something you want to learn? Learn it! Some area you want to improve in? Develop that skill.
There was this big trending thing YOLO – You only live once. Where people would excuse dumb, dangerous, unhealthy behavior on that they only live once so they should “live it up.”
Well, I’m saying you only live once so live well. Live the best you can. That is one reason why I really value setting goals, choosing what I want to pursue, taking action, having a morning routine, being productive, and the like. It’s not that I’m unhappy with where I’m at or what I got. It’s that I want the best of this life for me and my family.

You have goals. You have things you want to do. But, there is probably more things to do than you can do right now. Of course, you can’t do it all at once. You can’t even do it all today. So, how do you stay on track of all of it and keep moving toward your goal?
One big rule I follow is the Rule of 3. It is ridiculously simple, helpful, and powerful.
Take all the things that you want to get done and select the top three that will move you closer to you goal. Write them down. Each night I write the big three things I want to get done the next morning. That way when I get up I know what to work on to make progress to my goals.
The Big 3 Isn’t Just For The MorningsYou can use the Rule of 3 for your mornings, days, weeks, months, quarters, or years. It can help. 3 is a good number. It is easy to track 3 things. It’s not too big or overwhelming.
Now, I do make one little adjustment. I select 1 Key too. I note what the 1 things that I can do to make the day a success. If there was only one thing that you got done, then what would you want it to be?
You’ll know which three things you can do to really make progress AND you’ll know what to make sure you definitely conquer (or what to do first).
