  • S2-E23: From Suffering For Love to Growing In Love
I’ve had my share of suffering for love, suffering in love, and suffering through love and I gotta tell you, there is nothing redeeming about it.  In this episode, I am forthcoming about finding love and getting married later in life:

The euphoria of it all and the realities of love after it clears.

The thinking you in love and the realization that you’ve been in love with an ideal, a fantasy of love, that you’ve looked for someone to be willing in help you preserve it.

That realization typifies the real journey to whether you will surrender the fantasy for real love or surrender real love for the fantasy.

My mission isn’t to talk you out of it.  Not at all.  My mission, along with that of the podcast, is to amplify your voice, your value and your vision, 3 critical factors enoughness, so you can experience love and life in a brand new way.

With the focus on YOUR VOICE, I discuss the myths and misinformation about love and what you believe about yourself that silences your voice.

  • S2-E22: Perfect Grace for Imperfect Believers
Brya Potter is a mental health professional and loves Jesus, so how did she find herself in a relationship that left her depressed and feeling hopeless?

Like many high achieving women whose lives had been disrupted by the pandemic and uncertainty, she found herself bored and lonely. She started searching dating sites and having fun-loving conversations with men. And though, at her admission, she knew better, she got involved when she connected with a man who roused her interest. It had issues from the beginning, yet she was besieged with feelings of desperation that kept her entangled.

Brya’s story unfortunately is a common one especially in these socially distant times. Though she was 26 years old at the time of our taping, hers is a story shared with me by women in their 30s, 40s, 50s and yes, 60s.

What makes smart women pursue relationships with wrong men? What makes them stay? Listen as Brya and I talk about it and God’s intervention: perfect grace for imperfect believers.

Brya shares 4 red flags and a dream that she ignored. She was so blinded by her desire to have a man. Thank goodness for grace. She is still healing. Essential to it was forgiving herself. She’s not there yet, but is steadily moving in that direction. Every step creates a Space of Grace, the name of her podcast.

Brya is a NYS certified School Counselor, Educational Leader, dynamic speaker, writer, podcaster, worshiper, and brand strategist. She is also imperfect and doesn’t get things right all the time. Yet, her imperfect journey led her to a deeper, richer purpose: to help people know that God’s love is greater than their imperfections.

Brya has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Saint John Fisher College and a Masters of Science degree in School Counseling from Roberts Wesleyan College. She is currently studying Educational Leadership at Canisius College to pursue administration in the field of education. She has been blessed to be a NYS Certified School Counselor, speaker, writer, worshiper, podcaster, brand strategist, and whatever else God decides to put along her path to bring glory to Him.

  • S2-E21: A Manifested Life
What is your motivation for what you want? Is it a profound attraction to something or is it chasing what you think will make you enough?

Spiritual Life & Manifestation Coach, Intuitive Healer and Metaphysical Practitioner Danielle Faust breaks down manifestation for us, not as a goal but a lifelong process of bringing into your space what belongs to you. You don’t have to lament, wish, rob Peter to pay Paul to get it. If you are just some minor adjustments can put you on the right road!

Danielle knows what she’s talking about. Hers has been a life of manifestation. And so is yours.

When THE SECRET came out, it resonated and led her to take a deep dive into the laws of attraction, quantum physics, spiritual texts and blend them to create a frame work that helped Danielle transform her life further.

Danielle was able to manifest her husband after a soul-crushing breakup. She manifested her two, healthy children naturally after being told she couldn’t have any and would require infertility treatments. She manifested her thriving business after toiling in Corporate America unsure of how to pursue her passion. She even manifested face time and an interview with her she-ro (as well as mine) Oprah Winfrey!

I’ve had many conversations about manifestation and the law of attraction. This one was most precise to my own journey and the insights I gained. At the same time, it answered questions that lingered from attempts that ended in failure, loss and disappointment. It’s my belief that this episode will do the same for you. It will open you up to what Life wants to give you and teach you.

  • S2-E20: Full Speed Ahead
Do you have a great life, yet are unfulfilled?  Today’s episode is especially for you.  Power-Packed Happiness Coach, Author and Consultant Brittany Sherell is our guest.  Although everything looked good on paper, Brittany was unhappy and unfulfilled.  It wasn't until she got intentional about her happiness that things changed.

Hers is a harrowing story of a near-death experience that changed how she saw herself and what she allowed in her relationships.  But most of all, it brought home the fact that tomorrow is not promised.  You must make your today count.  This was a major shift that would bring other enlightened ones.  One of which, she learned to pull up things by the root.  She no longer allowed men in her life whose values did not align with hers.  She learned not to be selective in her surrender (something she and I have heard Patrice Washington say repeatedly). She learned to hold self care to a higher standard.  She made a commitment to live and love from a space of intention and integrity.

Brittany shares the insights gained with Women Entrepreneurs, who are successful but still unsatisfied.  She helps them find the missing link to their happiness, which she calls The Fulfillment Factor. Her purpose is to help others get unstuck and Achieve Results that Create a Life of Fulfillment. Beyond her business, Brittany spends time loving on her close-knit family, two fur babies and the nearly 30 special education students she teaches.

    Some gems Brittany dropped were:

[For all the superwomen] Even without the super you are still a woman
You can’t keep chasing the woman you were 10 years ago
    Obedience does not need permission
Elevation requires you to create space and clear out the noise
Your commitment to God has to outweigh your connection to people, places, and habits

    …and much more

  • S2-E19: Take Control of Your Life
Long before pandemics, sheltering in place and virtual school for children, Tracy Wilson found herself in a quandary.  She was in her 40s with an unexpected pregnancy.  This stopped her in her tracks!  She had already raised a child to adulthood and was ready to pursue her dreams. Yet, there she was.  Little did she know the Divine journey she was being invited to and the Purpose she was being ushered into.

With “let’s mom together” as her rallying cry, Tracy went from frazzled again-mom to a source of support and inspiration for other moms who, like her, have children and dreams that can’t wait.

In our honest and humorous conversation, Tracy shared the importance of:

--Letting your children be who they are
--Allowing your kids to see your humanity
    --Teaching daughters to rest
--Not enabling others to neglect your needs
    --Being okay with being misunderstood
--Teaching children to clean up their emotional messes
    …and much more.

The host of Melanated Mom Podcast, Tracy encourages moms to keep loving and living a life that fuels and fills them.  She believes in raising creative, innovative and independent thinkers, allowing children to explore what best suits them.

  • S2-E17: Silent No More
Life is no longer the same and will never be what we once knew.  At first, I resisted it by trying to focus on my business and continuing with my goals.  I was managing it  - so I thought - until I saw a man die.  At that moment, everything changed.

This episode is about the urgency of this moment in time and in history: to stop being silent.  To stop giving canned responses when the urgency of the moment requires your voice.  To identify areas where you have been silent, therefore complicit in allowing hatred to be emboldened.

Suzette identifies four forms of silence that oftentimes go unnoticed.  They are:

    --The Silence of People Pleasing
--The Silence of It's Their Problem
--The Silence of Not Speaking Up
--The Silence of Being Uncomfortable With Praise

Suzette goes deeply into the ways we become a non-factor because of our silence and why now is the time to be silent...no more.

    REDEFINE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS

If you have been silent in your relationships, you aren’t alone.  The most vocal of women have lost themselves in someone else’s definition and someone else’s script.

Becoming knowledgeable and learning how to apply that knowledge is the best way to change that.  It is with that in mind that I invite you to check out

  • S2-E16: Living While Black
We're finishing up THE MONTH OF THE MAN with none other than the best man I know, my husband Robert Vearnon.  He and I sit down for a no holds barred discussion where we allow you to be a fly on the wall as we talk very candidly about our experiences and perspective as Black people, both individually and as a couple.

We discuss the things that White America needs to know if true racial reconciliation is to take place.  Things like:

--Interracial relationships and the you they'll never see
--The underlying anger of Black men and what fuels it
--Socialization to "take care of" and "please" White people
--One or two Black people does not make you diverse
--How White people - though well-meaning - can make things worst for Black people
--Why "Make America Great Again" doesn't resonate with Black people
--Why Black Men stuff their feelings
    and much more

  • S2-E14: We Are Going To Get Through This
Happy Father's Day to all the fathers, father figures, and father surrogates who love us, lift us, give it to us straight and remind us what true strength looks like. As I interviewed men for this month set aside to amplify the voices of Black Men, I reserved Father's Day for none other than Dr. Undrai Fizer.  He speaks to my bone marrow, I'm telling you. And he brings a dignity to spirituality that is seldom seen. It's deeply human and profoundly Divine at the very same time.

Dr. Undrai goes underneath the skin to the real ills of humanity parading around as Black and White.

    We discuss:
    •The longing for oneness
    •Institutionalized labeling
    •An unrenewed mind
    •How change really happens
•From the acting love to the energy of love
    …and much more

Dr. Undrai is the founder of The Fizer Center, a subsidiary of The Kairos Institute of Personal Discovery in Houston, Texas. He holds doctoral degrees from Latin University of Theology, as well as United Graduate College and Seminary. He is also a commissioned Goodwill Ambassador with the U.N. Inter-faith Initiative.

He is a jazz keyboardist of Undrai Fizer Music, a prophetically conscious Instrumental Module. He is a best selling author and publisher, strategy coach and international speaker.

But his greatest role in life is that of husband, father, and friend. He is married to Dr. Bridget E. Fizer, a renown fashion designer, professor and coach, and father to 3 sons; Benjamin, Loren, and Zion.
