Who’s filling up your capacity? Capacity Coach Nicole Rhone had to ask herself that question when a health scare shook her awake. She was exhausted! She could not sustain the pace anymore, yet she had a family to love and a deep desire to serve. How could she do it? How could she balance it all?

In this episode, Nicole shares how she became intentional about what she allowed to pour into her, made room in her life for what mattered most and, as a result, teaches other women to increase their capacity so they can have meaningful lives and healthy relationships.

    ABOUT NICOLE RHONE

  • S3-E7: Breaking the Cycle of Family Trauma to Walk Your Inner Child to Wholeness
Being the “strong woman” or the “superwoman” sounds great to some, but to Jeneen Jefferson, it is an undeniable symptom of the cycle of family trauma that plays out in the lives and relationships of women and those attached to them. With candor and insight, Jeneen busts the myth that just because you don’t feel it anymore, you’ve healed it. Listen to our insightful conversation as Jeneen shares the unvarnished truth about trauma, how it shows up and what has to happen in order to truly heal it; and by doing so, change your experience of relationships.

    ABOUT JENEEN JEFFERSON

Jeneen Jefferson is a trusted, certified coach career and Life Purpose Coach, speaker. Over the past two decades, Jeneen has mentored, coached, and trained countless people through community-based and corporate work. She has been guiding people to experience their own dreams and desires through gift recognition. Her speaking and teaching style are very transparent and diplomatically candid. Jeneen discovered her undeniable purpose in 2017 when she made the decision to break the cycles of her past. During this time, she had been grieving her bonus son’s death and going through some major relationship issues, personally and professionally. She learned that had her inner child was seeking to be healed. Jeneen says that her wounded inner child showed up as the “strong one” the “Superwoman”. She learned that this is trauma, and it is very dysfunctional. Most of all she learned that thousands of people shared similar stories. Disrupting Cycles was birthed because of this self-reflection.

  • S3-E6: How to Stop Being Indecisive and Love with Relationship Consciousness
Relationship consciousness described it best as Phil Sanger and I talked about his work with LGTBQ+ individuals in not just coming out but staying out. It requires something greater. A truer definition of enough has to be written not just in the mind but in the heart. In short, coming out is one thing. Living out is another. In the same way, this episode takes stock of how you show up in your relationships. Are you hiding who you are? Are you afraid to feel your feelings? If you are struggling with should I or shouldn’t I, our conversation will give you the tools to stop being indecisive and love with relationship consciousness.

    ABOUT PHIL SANGER

Born & based in Yorkshire, UK, Phil Sanger (MA / CPCC) is an LGBTQ+ trans disciplinary practitioner working at the intersection of Wellbeing, Dance & Academia. Who, in a career spanning 2 decades, has performed with world class dance companies, taught around the globe, raised capital for a score of local arts projects & produced national tours.

As a coach, he works with the LGBTQ+ community focusing health, relationships and creativity. He is also lecturer and careers coordinator at the prestigious Northern School of Contemporary Dance where his students refer to him as professionally unprofessional.

  • S3-E5: How to Courageously Choose Honesty Over Making Assumptions in Friendships
We all have rules for our friendships. But do we unfairly make assumptions instead of being honest and forthcoming? Choosing honesty over making assumption is risky business. You run the risk of being misunderstood. This is true. But there’s also a 50-50 chance that it might deepen your friendship. In this episode Work Out Eat Cookies Life Coach Cathy Council gets down to the root insecurities that keep us from showing up courageously in our friendships.

    ABOUT CATHY COUNCIL

Several years ago, when Cathy was at her lowest point with all of her friendships, at the top of her New Year’s goals list was “MAKE NEW FRIENDS. GET A BIGGER CIRCLE”.
    ⠀
At the time, she was extremely frustrated with everyone around her. She couldn’t connect with friends she was once so close with. She couldn’t talk to them about her challenges as she advanced in her career and personal development.

Pushing the boundaries of the box she was in, Cathy began this work to heal herself, stop hiding and embrace who she was. From this self-confident and empowered place, she rekindled bonds with old friends and created strong new friendships in her own V.I.P. Circle.
Now, she coaches women on how to break free of the box that they are in, show up authentically, trust themselves and create their V.I.P. Circle of friends that evolve with them.

  • S2-E25: A New Vision For Your New Normal
Today’s episode is a very emotional one for me.  Just a couple of nights ago, the world was jarred by news of Chadwick Boseman's untimely death.  He was the seminal figure in Marvel's The Black Panther.  This episode is dedicated to him and highlights a particular interview that reveals the superior self knowledge essential to the new vision required by our new normal.

He was asked if the success of Black Panther would have a positive impact on the film industry.  It seemed like a reasonable question given that hitherto Hollywood felt people would not support Black films and, because of that belief, the disproportionate way Black actors were treated and marginalized.

How Chadwick answered it was nothing short of brilliant.

For those of you who feel disenfranchised by life and are being treated as less than others, this episode challenges you to forge a new vision.  One that is not dictated by anyone else or their definition of you.  Rather, it reveals you in both its aspiration and inspiration.

  • S2-E24: I Am Not Nasty
When I heard that Kamala Harris had been selected as the VP nominee for the Democratic Party, I was elated.  It wasn’t because she was my pick but she was a win nonetheless: a win for me as a women and a win for me as a Woman of Color.  While I understood that everybody didn’t share my joy, I did not expect the barrage of criticisms of her I read.

Words like “nasty”, “angry black woman”, and “ambitious” were the ones that cut me most deeply.  Words, I felt, that Black Women have been burdened with for centuries.

With today’s episode, I raise this conversation about the definitions that women have heard for centuries and how those words have written on the way they see themselves and other women.  This is a conversation worth having and now’s the time.

So, if you struggle with what people think of you and the judgments placed upon you without any regard for your investment of time and effort to get where you are, this episode, I believe, will lift you as it did me.

In this episode, I expose to the light aspects of people pleasing that we’ve had to adopt to make it in this world.  And why now is the time to cast those rules off and stand in your own Light without apology.
